  1. Is it a 600? Or an Abarth of some sort? 131?
  2. Did this ever get resolved? I have a horrid squeal that seems to be coming from my aux belt, was thinking it could be the compressor? It's intermittent, but annoying because it's very loud.
  3. This just means we get to see how good Davide Valsecchi is. I hope. They should either announce Hulkenberg and put him in or use Valsecchi. This is what reserve drivers are for after all.
  4. Would it be easy to put a rim of colour around the outside of the rim using this plastidip method? Say I wanted, grey wheels with a green stripe?
  5. I only just clocked that the traffic was on the right hand side in the second video. I did wonder why the car + trailer was in lane 3. Also, yes, you are invisible, clearly. That or people are morons.
  6. You've been cheeky and rotated it again haven't you. I agree with Ferrari 308. Certainly of that era.
  7. The Nightbreakers I put in mine seem to be working fine. It's decently bright, good vision. I have no problem with these, considering the cost.
  8. The moron in a Chevy Spark who merged onto the M1, went across all 3 lanes and right in front of me in lane 3. I jumped on the brakes and gave him a long blast of high beam flash as he was pulling out.... So he decides to brake test me. At 70mph. In the outside lane. Next to an Artic. Then he gave me a ****** sign.... he wasn't in my RVM very long after that.
  9. Gah! Parking sensors! Can't believe I forgot those. Also displays proximity sensors on the Radio screen.
  10. I'm not 100% sure what was in my car to start with, but I'll certainly post what I think of the Nightbreaker Unlimited that's gone in when I drive it in the dark.
  11. New headlight bulbs and sidelight bulbs. Considering when to fit the Audi winter wheels I bought for £100. Going to be a moving van again next week!
  12. White ones look good if the colour of the car is right. The blue and white pictured above look great.
  13. Funnily enough, I did the same thing today, with the same product and the same observation. The hardest part was getting the cover off on the OS. Also put some new sidelights in. Should be good, not had a chance to try them either.
  14. Handling is okay, it's fairly light. Steering is light, brakes are typical VAG (a bit high up the pedal for me). Car rolls a bit during harder cornering, it's not really a sports car in any way. I'd still give it a go, it is a good car. Colour dependent though... ours is black magic.
  15. No... you're right. This is true. It was tiredness talking.
  16. Yeah, ours is a 57. Bit more miles than yours, 57k. Drive it and see what you think, not everyone likes the upright driving position. It does feel solidly put together, but it does have the typical Skoda rattles. It's a good car, suits the purpose well.
  17. We have the 1.6 petrol 3 from about 2008. Cloth interior in cream or black. Climatronic Cruise Maxidot Dance radio with aux input (No changer or bluetooth, nor MDI, it has the aux by the handbrake) Front fogs Glovebox lids (not standard one Fabia 1) 16inch wheels unless optioned. The ones we have are nice, seem to have held up well. Front centre armrest. Electric heated mirrors and front electric windows, rears are windy. Steering wheel radio controls were an option. Would suggest the 105 diesel will be better, the petrol is almost worse on fuel than my mk1 vRS Octy. I also think the 1.9 Diesel 3 came with Stability control, but don't quote me on that. Diesel is the 1.9 so will take a map and be reliable. No point on the petrol. Any other questions re spec, let me know.
  18. Say what now? Is there a rule I don't know or this tiredness talking?
  19. I never sorted myself out. Oh well. :P Anyone know any llamas in Leeds?
  20. I need to move my car all of 20 feet for this. When I sort myself out.
  21. Unless you're like me and do a couple of trackdays where standard pads won't do, (Ask James what happened to my brakes at Oulton) Then anything from a brand you've heard of will be fine. Pagid are good. I got some "Premium" pads from GSF, which are fine for the road, just not the track.
  22. Thought this thread would be about essential sweets and snacks for motorway trips. For commuting, a decent way to take calls or listen to music through the stereo. Commuting in the dark, a set of Nightbreaker bulbs might be a benefit. Decent wipers, not cheap ones.
  23. I've never seen that fuel economy on my mk1. Mine's had what you want done, exhaust, air filter etc running a sensible remap, apparently, and the best I've ever seen even with a load of stuff in the car has been 42/43. Still not awful, but I do have to run it on 97/98, it doesn't like normal petrol.
  24. When we had a Favorit, we didn't pronounce it as Favourite, it was much more literal, Fav-or-it. Skoda have a history of interesting pronunciations of names.
