  1. @337 Did you buy it, is that why it's gone?
  2. I just tried to put a link for you to look but "The advert you are looking for is no longer available but we’ve found some similar vehicles for sale that match your search criteria" The advert said The car had spent it's life here, which is a Skoda partner in Milton Keynes 144 miles from Rochdale. i imagine for training and research. The model was launched in Jan 2020, the the time this car was registered. 3. He has brought up this topic before, but Suing content creators is another leap. He who pays the Piper calls the tune?
  4. Could the 12 month warranty be long enough for any of the issues to arise? As highlighted The trip to Rochdale could be 144 of the miles. I would be tempted though But make sure it has a full service history, it should still have been done on "time". Check the warranty conditions.
  5. I have the RAC "arrival" specialist caravan cover Which is around £200 a year. I imagine it may be different than cover for free given with other products. I haven't had to use it (touches wood) since 2020. When we broke down about to leave a site in South Wales. We were also slap bang in the middle of the Covid debacle. RAC van came and assessed the car was not quickly repairable, major auto gearbox fault which eventually cost over £4,000 to repair (That's a story of it's own) Recovery truck came to load us up, whilst there a motorcaravan got stuck in mud turning round to leave his pitch the breakdown guy went over and dragged him out then hitched my caravan up and took us to Chester, now about 8pm. (But his driving hours were up). RAC said it would be the next day before anyone could pick us up to go further because of a severe shortage of drivers due to covid they could deliver a hire car for us to go home and they would recover the unit themselves. We opted to sleep in the van and wait. We were collected from Chester at 5 AM and brought home, Car to House, caravan to storage. A hire car was then delivered for the included three days. Two days later RAC came back to take the car to Dealer appointment. Maybe different like the Mayday service is with Green flag you pay extra for the service? All the elements of vehicle recovery are separate entities. Things have definitely changed over time with regulation. In the early 90s we broke down in Manchester going to Cornwall with the Caravan and the RAC took us down to Looe with one driver and one recovery vehicle in one hit. Best MPG I have ever achieved towing. 300mpg, we where only 6 mile from home when we broke down.
  6. If you have a thermometer you could do a quick test yourself. The temperature of the air coming out of your vents should be around 1-8 Celsius (35 to 48 degrees Fahrenheit). when set to max cooling
  7. If you haven't recently driven it for a good distance at a steady speed above 40mph for over half an hour, I would do that first.
  8. On getting in car. Pressed brake pedal to put in drive, air bag error now yellow lamp on. Skoda had earliest appointment convenient for me and them 04/08. they initially offered 21/07 but i cannot get it to them then. Does it matter? the lamp is yellow Is it the servicing availability that lets Skoda down?
  9. Have you successfully connected to any other car that way? I would expect an MP3 player to have an audio output 3.5mm jack point? The usb port being used for charging and connecting to a PC?

  11. Last nights 5 hour charge on the HV battery did not lead to it opening without the app to start aircon this morning.
  12. Eighth month stats from the car Apr-May 266mile @ 4.4m/kwh = 60.46 [email protected] = £16.88 My Mondeo would have averaged 35 mpg for these 266m @£1.327 litre = £45.38 Long term guessometer now reset. Stat from the GOM the car has been on for 24.18 hours and averaged 11mph.
  13. This week the car stopped responding to the remote again from Monday morning. Last charged the HV battery last Wednesday. On charge again this evening. Will see if it unlocks tomorrow a.m. Again each day I have been able to wake the car up and unlock it by turning the aircon on with the app. Still cannot get the cap off the key cover. Am I just being too reluctant to push hard enough in case I break something. Pull handle and insert blade in hole? I assume you push upwards?

  15. Selling privately is the way to get the most. But you have to wait for someone to agree your price and have the hassle of dealing with them on the drive. Motorway sells to dealers so you will lose whatever margin they need to get. This guy on youtube seems reasonable. If he doesn't want it he will suggest a price that other dealers might pay. https://carsboughtformore.com/
  16. On the skoda website you can find handbooks by vin number. https://www.skoda.co.uk/apps/manuals/Models I had to use trial and error around builds from 2010 to 2011 to find it because registration year can be the year after build. I cannot remember which one had that particular schematic now.
  17. I have found that it charges 12v whilst ac charging.
  18. You could also get a usb c flash drive and transfer the music to that.
  19. Thanks for pointing this out, I cannot find a setting for "optimise battery use" to keep the 12v charged whilst parked. So I have moved the 12v boot socket fuse from always live to off on exit, At first I thought it was not working at all after moving the fuse because I couldn't keep the ignition "on" without sitting in the driver's seat 😄. But found if i press the start button twice it goes to ignition on with a warning tone sound. I then double checked it was going to go off by sitting in then getting out again.
