  1. I don't drive my ev any different than I drove my Diesel. The only things i have had to get used to are 1: Not having to de-ice it before driving off. 2: I have a smaller capacity tank.
  2. For my enyaq i downloaded the myskoda app. With your vin you then get access to the Digital certificate that gives service history and delivery specification
  3. I think so too it also appears to have remnants of the electrical connection carrier attached as well.
  4. First destination charge today. Not hat it was needed but had gone out for lunch and 7kw charger on the car park of the Master Potter Cheadle ST10 1LW RRW charging using electroverse rfid card Connection cost £1 7.57kwh in 1hr 3min £4.18 + cc 55.22p (68.43p with cc) per kwh

  6. Putting what you are saying here and what my SIL has told my missus, i think i can come to the conclusion that what she meant to tell us was that to get the car she wants for the advanced payment she is prepared to pay "It has to be electric"
  7. Sister in law at end of lease looking at another this week. Told "Has to be electric" At dealership
  8. Motability are not forcing people to have evs which is what had been stated earlier. Dealers maybe
  9. With that advanced payment some may prefer
  10. "When I bought it the guy said that the car was an ex ministry of defence vehicle" I think this was the seller covering his back. (probably praying he didn't ask what that meant) It is up to the buyer to investigate the implications
  11. Agreed but it would depend upon what the salary was being sacrificed for. Sacrifice to add to Pension is a lot different than sacrifice to purchase a car.
  12. A great deal of battery problems are caused by people buying a new one and getting it wrong. E:G car specifications may say it needs an 096 and they look for a reasonably priced one and end up with Because it's "The same size" 😉 but costs less. But they needed They will both start the 2.0l diesel when new and fully charged. But there is no way they will be as reliable as each other. 096 just means 278L x 175W x 175H which many don't realise.
  13. I asked the question because many moons ago we used to have to top up battery fluid when the solution had boiled away from prolonged charging. Nowadays the batteries are sealed so makes it difficult. maybe that is what this BMS "nonsense" is all about? To protect the battery from overcharge but maintaining it at enough to start the car? As you say it's difficult to be certain . Was the boiling away before because of failed voltage regulators and has the VR been replaced by the BMS?
  14. If that is done, are there other mitigations in the system to stop the battery being charged when it's full?
  15. Is there not a three year warranty on Skodas, should be covered until at least March?
  16. https://fleetevolution.com/salary-sacrifice-pension-impact/ It is possible for some to have consequences financially until they die depending upon their works pension scheme?
  17. In the mse thread the person paid for a coc from the manufacturer and say they got a refund of that cost (from the dvla) when the dvla wouldn't accept it retrospectively The vehicle needs to have a coc with the emissions figure from a wltp test. wltp testing was not done until 2018?
  18. Similar query here Same answer Cannot be changed? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6361144/i-bought-an-ex-mod-car-paying-so-much-road-tax-why
  19. I believe MOD vehicles are registered in a different system. Not sure DVLA are even involved?
  20. Other peoples cars with the details will be irrelevant to you, apart from knowing it could have been cheaper. When a car was registered between 2001 and 2017 co2 was used. Cars have a coc which declares it's Co2 emissions and is specific to that car at the time. MOD and cars bought buy staff abroad etc would need to be registered when they either lose their MOD registration or staff bring them home. In the absence of the correct certificate upon registering the car would be deemed PLG and rates prior to 2001 will be used which was how they used to be classed. We haven't used PLG since 2001 which just meant it was a private vehicle weighing less than 3500kg
