  1. Nice, will look out for you on the A1 🏎️
  2. I Bought the Pelsee P10 Mirror Dash Cam and hard wired it. I have my VRS on a lease so didn't want to pay for a retro fit reversing camera. Cost me about £120 plus £10 for the wiring kit. Had it over 3 months now and it does the job well. It has a few little gimmicks like lane assist etc. but no wifi. Rear camera is on the inside of rear window and you can adjust the camera angle as needed form the mirror it self but I have mine set to how I like it. Hope that helps
  3. Traffic film remover (TFR) is what the drive in car washes use when they spray your car when you fist arrive. Works great on Buses and wagons but not recommended on a car you intend to keep. My wife had a mini countryman with black plastic wheel arches and over time they all became discoloured.
  4. the dancing may be caused by reflections that are picked up by the sensor. Road signs etc. I only use my matrix in out of town country roads and they seem to work fine for me. I do get the odd flash but that can be on low beam as well. Hope you get it sorted.
  5. I don't find the lane assist that bad on my VRS. Yes it does get fooled sometimes on the back roads, but I've had lots of new different electric cars over the past 3 years and some were dangerous in my opinion. Pulling the car far too hard. Ping bong all the time .........! The worst was the new Renault Megan. It picked up joins in the tarmac... Turning them off is in the depth of the system and has to be done every time. Now my camera is activated ( cost me £65) the ACC works from the GPS like the VW ID3 and Kona self driving tech. I use it every day. The distance gauge bar on the display is wrong but the system works. As mentioned above don't use cruise control or ACC in bad weather ! Happy safe driving everyone
  6. Anything mechanical runs the risk of a manufacturing fault. I had a new 23 Peugeot EV while I was waiting for my VRS. 2000 miles and I could here the typical bearing noise, took it in to get checked out and sure enough the bearing needed replacing. I would get in checked out before you splash the cash on tyres. I can't help ref the noise, not noticed anything abnormal? I have always gone for wet weather performance and turned the radio up My 73 VRS Estate arrived with Bridgestone Potenza S005 225/40R19 93Y Not sure what 71 to 72 means in the real world. "Bridgestone Potenza S005 The Bridgestone Potenza S005 High Performance Tyres are High Performance Tyres that come in 4 different variants. The Potenza S005 model comes in a variety of rim sizes ranging from 18 to 19 inch. The Potenza S005 model range has sizes of tyre that have been officially rated as having a wet grip rating ranging from B to A. The Bridgestone Potenza S005 model has a fuel rating ranging from B to C. This Bridgestone model has noise ratings that range from a 71 to a 72." Never skimp on tyres and breaks if you do a lot of driving as you may need to rely on them.
  7. One month 73 plate VRS estate 245 petrol with no extras. I've actually been electric for the past 3 years and just got sick of living my live around charging. I do about 25k to 30K a year and the lost time was a killer. I have had German for the past 20 years with a mix of BMW/Audi/Mercedes and the VRS may not have some of the little refinements it certainly beats them on value. 2000 miles in and MPG has averaged 40 mpg. Normal Mode Motorways 45-50 Around town 25-30 Sports mode about 12mpg A few glitches with the software and disappointed with the £125 of subscriptions to get the car activated fully. Looks like the majority of manufactures are doing this now. The ACC is a bit mad as it seems to work in reverse??? most systems have the line closer to the car on the dash the closer the distance it will maintain to the car in front, not mine???? but it does work. Overall a comfortable car to drive. I added a hard wired mirror dash cam with a rear camera (stuck to top of back window) as it didn't come come with a reversing camera. The reversing mirror USB slot didn't have enough amps to run the mirror dash cam. Very happy with the Mirror Dash Cam and the wires tucked away well. Pelsee P10 mirror dash cam £120 Hard wire kit (with battery protection) £21 128gb card £11 Plenty of power from the engine and DSG when needed and certainly looks good. Most comments have been 'oh you got an police interceptor car' or 'how long will your license last'. Definitely a great balance of speed, comfort, space etc. for a Dad who wants to have a bit of fun still.
  8. I questioned it and just had one fitted this week to my VTRS 73 plate and is part of a recall notice. Called in to my local dealer to check and they had one in stock and installed it while I had a coffee. They said that the covers were removed due to a fire risk and had to be manufactured from a different plastic?
  9. I had the same issue with the C port and my mirror dash cam. Not enough amps and ended up with the hard wire option, it has a rear camera as well.
  10. Got my VRS a couple of weeks ago. I only got one umbrella but I didn't have an engine cover??? Apparently they were not fitted due to a fire risk?? Local dealer supplied and fitted on FOC under a recall notice. Good service too.
