  1. Thanks. What I can see is an “advanced warning” which is set at medium. I’m assuming it means that it will just warn me earlier or later that it’s going to happen. Not a sensitivity setting as such?
  2. I appreciate this is an old post. But this has just happened to me today. Absolutely no traffic in front. A car was waiting to come out of a side road much further ahead but they weren’t sticking out onto my road. It scared me as there was a car behind me. how do I turn the sensitivity down? I have a Skoda fabia
  3. I’ve had a disclock for about 20 years, same one I’ve used on all the cars I’ve had over that time. It says in the instructions that if you lose the key/s the only way to remove it is to call the fire brigade/department. So that seems like it’s pretty secure. It is heavy and takes up a bit of room when not in use. I tend to put it in the passenger footwell if I’m on my own or in the boot if not. I did have a car broken into before I bought this. And a few weeks ago I had forgot to lock my car. Luckily my car was untouched (parked on the street) I don’t know if the steering lock put anyone off, as we’ve had a spate of someone trying car door handles on the off chance
  4. I’ve never heard of that but like the sound of it! Although when I got my steering lock I was warned that if I lost the keys I would need to call out the Fire Brigade/Department to cut the steering lock off. So I think the car should be pretty safe.
  5. Hi I’ve only had my Shiny Fabia just over a week. It’s my first one, so things are still a bit strange. When I was reversing today, when I looked at the camera view I was certain it didn’t have the corners “cut off” from view (top left and right) of the camera view. It looks the the red metal colour of the car, but I’m sure I couldn’t see that before. I thought it was just the actual view. I’m not sure if I’m getting mixed up with my previous car. I’ve looked at the camera, and it’s not damaged. I have taken a photo of what I can see. (The yellow is what I’ve drawn to try and point to the parts I am talking about). Can anybody advise if this is correct or if there is a fault / misalignment? I don’t want to go back to the garage if my memory is playing tricks and look stupid. Sooner look stupid on here 🤣🤣🤣
  6. If they still fit the same way as mine you have 3 settings, sort of like a belt where you can have it tighter or slacker etc. it’s a good choice and it will last for years. I was thinking of getting a tile or AirTag. So I could see where the car is if it was stolen. I know there’s a gps in the car, but it can be switched off in the menu.
  7. I bought one and been using it for about 25 years now. Back then they only did one size. I have used it on several fiestas, corsas, minis and now my Fabia. I would measure your steering wheel and email diskloc. I wouldn’t be without mine, although it is heavy and takes up a fair bit of room when not in use.
  8. Thanks. If it was a bigger bottle it would probably be easier as it would fit without rattling around. I have tried putting something in the door, but then I can’t easily grab it to drink out of it if I’m stood at the traffic lights etc.
  9. Thanks. It does come out, it actually says it’s removable. That’s why I thought a third party would have made something that could fit in its place. I know someone who has a 3d printer and he might be able to make something so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. He said there are using templates online and would have thought someone would have already done one.
  10. Could be loose tappets A ticking, tapping or clacking from the top of the engine is usually indicative of a potential issue with your engine's tappets. At first it can seem insignificant in volume, but gradually over time the 'rattling' will get louder and indicate an imminent major mechanical issue
  11. The bottle is too small and rattles about in the door pocket. It has an inbuilt straw which leaks if the bottle isn’t stood completely upright. The holders are also too small for my reusable insulated cups too. with the “drinks holder” being removable I would have thought another company would have made a “proper” drinks holder that could be used instead
  12. Hi, I know this has been raised on the Octavia part of the forum but the answer of an adaptor from Amazon, I don’t think will fit. A fruit shoot bottle fits which is 55 mm / 2.25 inches in diameter. All the cup/bottle holder adaptors I can find are 2.6 inches at the smallest. I want to put a steel drinks bottle in (380ml) which isn’t a huge bottle but measures at 70mm / 2.75 inches and won’t fit. I don’t want to change the drinks bottle I’m using as it’s a Sho bottle which keeps my water ice cold and has an inbuilt straw. Does anyone know of an adaptor that will work? thanks
  13. Hi, I ordered the SE L - 110 PS - Manual 6 speed. When I listed the options I wanted (those listed earlier in my post) + winter pack & also smart wireless I was told it would need to be a factory order that would take 16 weeks. So looking like March delivery. I’ve noticed not that the website has been updated but now the winter pack has also been removed as an option. Not sure if Škoda are having trouble getting hold of the semi conductors? When the car dealer told me that the options weren’t available and mentioned about Škoda making changes, it sounded like a new shape/new design Fabia was going to be released?
