  1. Yes I tried red grease but it was time consuming for me personally but yes it did the job 😎✅
  2. On the rubber bushings mainly in the wishbone this was where the noise was coming from. But it's such a quick job and prolongs the life of everything rubber I spray everything rubber.🤗
  3. HI All, As suspected it was the safelock that was stopping the lock from locking! I had to repin the connection between T28A connector and the safelock switch that on my model sits in the middle of the driver door panel.
  4. HI firstly I could not get into my account and we were doing major house renovation. I solved my problem with silicone spray. So about every 3 months. Hope this helps
  5. Hi, early last year, I found the majority of the wires in the door hinge were broken. So anyway I replaced the wiring but lock would only lock with the key. Checked all wires again & all fine so I bought a used door lock but the problem remained plus the second hand lock would also freeze locked when it rained. Back rummaging in the door again and I found I had missed two wires I checked these & they are to do with the "safe lock". So my problem is finding where they attach in t28a because everything else apart from the door lock probably due to"safe lock" is working and I would like to mentally repair it using pin assignment before physically returning to the scene of crime.
  6. Yes, Thank you. Many a Google reply to a search has contained the expression " look in manual or check schematics". I have been searching for sometime for this mythical part of Skoda manual so yes I am building my own version. I will check out your pinout thankyou for taking the time.
  7. Hi & good afternoon. I'm trying to find the pin assignment for fabia mark 2. T28a connector & or the female socket as well. I have purchased 2 manuals from different companies thinking maybe the first manual didn't have it for some reason no joy. I have tried many variations of what this connector is or could be called in & around the internet no joy. I found pin assignments to everything but. If someone could point me in the right direction. Give a man a fish you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish you feed him for life. If you see what I mean. Hope help is just a click away. Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi SJFisher67, Sorry your a fellow suffer! I will check the top mount, only one side for me currently. I was on the net earlier looking for a new wishbone but as yet haven't purchased. Visited other information centres most point towards a new ball joint on the wishbone which I purchased a few weeks ago but due to the little play on the wheel when at 9 & 3 wiggle and none at 12 & 6 I changed the tie rod which got rid of the slight play but not the squick!? I suppose similar to our health problems when we go to Doctors they first consider the most common cause first, so since I have a new ball joint I might as well fit it and see!
  9. Hi All, changed outer tie rod still squeaky ONLY over bumps also tried silicone spray on all bushes. With better light & further investigation I have supplied a photo of as far as I can tell the only sorry looking bit of rubber is the bush on the (wishbone) or lower arm. Would you say the wear in the photo is enough to give a squeak?
  10. So would you say I need tracking checked again? Because the outer tie rod nut was tightened much later after the wheel alignment? What? What?

  12. Hi All, replaced tie end rod needed to work quickly & in the dark. Replaced tie end rod tightened it to 45nb tighten locknut on rod reassembled car. Had the tracking done (they said all is good) after this I torqued the tie end rod nut to the 50nb (manual said) I did it while the locknut is locked ( didn't see any reason to disturb it). I can't see a problem and the car drives straight. Is it a must that the locknut on the rod be tightened after the tie rod nut?🙂
  13. Hi All, easymanuals have original Skoda workshop manuals. In pdf format (which I have so I can read it on anything & it's printable) or with other software run on windows or Mac
