  1. If you need to make a manual change then pressing a button to change the time by an hour is quicker than adjusting a clock. Since the cars are on line I expect them to change time automatically from the phone signal.
  2. One of my reasons for keeping the internal maps up to date is to understand when the car will slow down when it thinks I am approaching a roundabout or speed limit in Ecoassist..
  3. The downloaded file name is OI_P107_EU_202345_Offline_Update.zip which I unpacked. This looks like week 45 2023 but it appears as version 23.6 after loading it. It may be that the maps dated June were only packaged for downloading in November.
  4. That is the version I was given when I input my VIN. I thought there was a later one as it is supposed to have 6 monthly updates. It is still a more up to date version than the one I had.
  5. @Markeknows This worked perfectly. The unpacked data just fitted on a 32GB stick which I had available, I inserted it in a front USB C socket and left it for an hour with the car switched on, but not running. The status now shows that the map version is 23.6
  6. Thanks, I will try this and see what happens.
  7. I have read material here, elsewhere and in the manual and I am confused. There are instructions on how to download the maps, unzip them onto a USB stick and then upload them to the Columbus infotainment system. However the Skoda instructions show pictures of the old Columbus head unit (with the physical buttons on the sides) and comments on this forum show that people appear to have difficulty doing this. The manual (and my dealer) state that updates must be done over the air with a subscription. The manual also states that the download will be for the current vehicle position or route destination. I would like a full UK (or England and Wales) update. If some maps have been downloaded how does this change the reported navigation database version? I have bought a used 2021 PHEV and the current map version is 20.7. My update options are to download the database or to take a 1 month trial subscription and download the maps, but this is likely to take a significant time. My questions are: 1 – Having unzipped the map files onto a USB drive how do I get the infotainment system to update? 2 – How much map data is downloaded and how long does it take? Many thanks for any assistance. Before anyone asks I will be using my phone for navigation but I would like the maps on the car to be up to date.
  8. I get very close to the 29 miles and the sum of remaining range plus miles driven is normally around 30/31 miles. There is a small gain from braking.
  9. You should check the high voltage battery. I have just purchased a 2021 Octavia PHEV and my range when newly charged is about 29 miles, if the battery has not been properly charged the vehicle you are looking at may have a significantly lower range. I bought mine from a Skoda dealer and insisted that they updated the software to version 1941.
  10. My software has been updated to day FOC. The invoice states that it had been upgraded to 1901 but the status shows 1941. The previous version did not save settings in the sat nav but this appears to.
  11. On the Skoda used car selection each vehicle has a set of pictures. The last picture highlights the benefit's of buying an approved used Skoda and these include fully up to date software. My salesman also stated that it was up to date but I sent him a picture of the status screen and he agreed that it needed to be updated,
  12. @WaveyDavey Thanks for the info.
  13. The dealer queried the need for an update. After sending them the picture of the status screen they replied by asking me to book into the workshop for an upgrade.
  14. Thanks, that is what I suspected I currently find that when the car is switched off it loses all the Sat Nav customisation such as favourites, home address etc. I am awaiting an answer to this from the dealer and I will mention the software version. I can take the one month free use of Skoda Connect to update the map version.
  15. I have just bought a September 21 Octavia IV PHEV from a main dealer. The software versions are: Hardware H56 Software 1804 Display Unit hardware H47 Display Unit software 2092 Navigation database 20.7 Media Codec 31.4 I suspect that these are out of date despite the Skoda promise that approved used cars will be updated to the latest software. What are the latest versions please?
