  1. This: is the earlier discussion.
  2. I had this problem after an MOT. It is being checked next month when it has a service.
  3. Beat in mind that a lead acid battery can only deliver 50% of the stated capacity and, depending on the battery, can only deliver that a specified number of times. For your camping fridge you should get 3hours at 12V continuous running. This may extend to 6 hours if the external temperature is not to hot. The fridge in my camper van runs at 5A with a duty cycle of around 50%. This gives me 7 hours off a 75AH battery which is rated to 200 deep discharges.
  4. In my Octavia and previous Passat the total miles driven is hidden when the cruise control is displayed.
  5. I had a first MOT at the main dealer last week. This week I am getting the same message when I open the door to get out after parking. It only displays for about 10 seconds.
  6. I had a Passat with start / stop for 10 years, 80k miles and it was still on the original battery.
  7. I bought at 71 plate PHEV in February. The dealer told me that all software was up to date, but I had some infotainment issues and found I was on old software. I insisted that they update to version 1941 which they did while I waited. No problems now. Most mileage is local on electric with longer journeys on hybrid. If you get one insist that the infotainment software is at 1941 or later before delivery.
  8. I have found that sometimes I push the drive selector twice so the car is in Sport mode not Drive mode (the indicator is bottom left below the 'rev# gauge. It will show D or S and the current gear. You will be in D mode when you restart at traffic lights.
  9. Skoda state that approved used cars come with full software upgrades so insist that the dealer upgrades the infotainment version to 1969 before you take delivert. I had a row with my dealer over this and had to take the car back after initial collection to get a FOC upgrade.
  10. I agree with you. I quoted the infotainment version because there are references above to the known infotainment issues. In terms of other software all versions are 'no update required' according to the dealer.
  11. It is not all PHEVs. I have had a 2021 PHEV for 6 months and practically all my driving is in e mode (I have used half a tank of petrol), the car is charged on the 10A charger and I have had no (touch wood) problems with the 12V battery. That time included 3 weeks when I was away on holiday and the charger was not plugged in. My software is version 1941.
  12. Replace the batteries in the key fobs.
  13. The socket on the Octavie mirror mount is USB C. The Nextbase 312GW appears to have a mini USB socket. You will need a USB C to USB mini cable (search on that term). Since the Skoda socket is on the right of the mirror support it is best fitted using a right angle USB C connector as shown in the pictures above.
  14. I had this problem when I got my Octavia. It was fixed when I insisted the dealer upgrade the software to the then latest version (1941).
  15. I have a PHEV which I run on electric locally. I get around 33 miles per charge. If I go a longer distance it switches to petrol automatically. For France I would use petrol to get to your house. It will probably be easiest to use petrol for local French runs as you cannot charge at the house and you may not want to wait at a charging station. I understand that the charging plugs are standard (except Tesla) so you should have no problem plugging in in France.
  16. /your first option should be to upgrade from version 1806 to 1941 or later.
  17. I agree, but the OP was concerned about electric charging in Europe and the low mileage on just electric means that it is not appropriate to try to charge it and then run any distance on electric.
  18. We charge our PHEV from an external 13A socket. Going to the Alps would be on petrol, the electric range is 33 miles.
  19. I had this problem with version 1804 and it was fixed with version 1941. A dealer will have to do the upgrade and it will require at least 1 intermediate upgrade.
  20. If you purchased an approved second-hand Skoda from a dealer then they should heave ensured that all software was up to date. If this is the case insist that they update it to `941 at least.
  21. Since you are on a very old software version your first step must be to update to 1941 or 1969. This will require at least 1 intermediate upgrade so will take several hours. Once this has been done you can identify any remaining failures and work on them. In addition your maps are July 2019 and should be updated. This can be done by a dealer, or by you if you subscribe to the service or manually download and install the latest map version.
  22. If your car was an approved Skoda used car then the dealer should have updated it to the latest software before selling it, so you should formally complain and request a FOC upgrade.
  23. I do not have 'Easy Open' and that option is missing on my screen. I presume that it is only displayed if the car has the functionality and the OP does not have Easy Boot opening.. (Similarly other options that I do not have are not displayed on my screen).
  24. If you are buying it as an approved Skoda used car make sure the dealer has upgraded the software. Mine had not and queried the issue until I sent them a picture of the software status screen. They then agreed to upgrade.
  25. I bought a second hand PHEV in February. I fitted a Garmin dashcam powered off the mirror USB C port. The car came with a 10A charger cable which plugs into a domestic 13A socket and a cable for a home charger. I use the 10A cable and can charge the car in about 6 hours. If I use the 'time of departure' charging option then I have a range of 34 miles, if I charge it and do not use it immediately then I have a range of 29 miles.
