  1. I had the same concerns, maybe I got lucky or simply to early (only driven it twice in the firs month of ownership) to become β€˜informed’. Anyway no issues with mine, it just works. 🫢🏼
  2. How you getting on with this?
  3. Ok so as others, all I had to do was take them out of range.. 😏
  4. Umm I’ve just experienced this today, just set myself up as the primary user etc went in to the hs and 10 mins later both keys still flashing πŸ™ˆ
  5. Ok so at HQ this last week, travelled by train, anyway collected the 2nd car key and now that I’m back home have just spent the last hr setting myself up as the primary owner, registering the Skoda app inc the 1 month free trials for the various features… Yet to discover whether I’m best using Laura, Google or Siri when on the road! Hey hi time will tell I guess.
  6. Ok, confused.com, pulled the manual out (digital copy here https://digital-manual.skoda-auto.com/w/en_GB/show/76651911afececc1ac1445253ccacadc_2_en_GB?ct=76651911afececc1ac1445253ccacadc_2_en_GB ) it refers to 80% for day to day, but I can’t see where to set it so that it does not charge past this. I do see reference to timed departure, here up to 100% and making sure setting off as soon as possible thereafter. i plugged it in anyway, dashboard says 5.40 to charge, assume my wall outlet can’t provide the juice so it’s switched to protected mode. Think I’ll just unplug it after 3hrs. guess having the app would make sense, but I can’t do that until I have both car keys. So it will be next weekend before I can explore further.
  7. Apologies, hijacking my own thread, tried searching but can’t work out how to just search with the Octavia IV section. Anyway, stupid question i guess… however my better half is insisting that I should only part charge to help protect the battery system!? I lm assuming full charge is fine im going to plug it in this afternoon (just to an outside socket that I had fitted to use for vac and power washer) so any clarification here appreciated.
  8. 2021 Vrs IV Hybrid PHEV Estate. Only had it a couple of weeks and not had a chance to play with it yet, however see pic, this is the unit that I have got. Any input welcomed and appreciated. TY
  9. Thanks so very much, not tried to charge yet, will give it a go tomorrow. Yeah same for me, company car πŸ‘
  10. Right, so I collected the car 2 weeks ago today. The first drive was around 330 miles, 7hrs none stop (still have that iron bladder haha).. Not had time to do anything with the car yet. Maybe next month!
  11. I'm trying to decide whether or not to go with this. https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-skoda-octavia-4-iv-2020-2023?variant=42868199325868 I collect the car (new to me) sometimes WC 17th June so will need to sort it out soon after. What's all the hype about Park Mode?
  12. VW did the same thing, shutting down one app then providing a new one and guess what...... ......functions that you got for free now behind a pay wall. Welcome to the cloud, pay to play and share your data with the world at the same time. Take me back to happier times!

  17. Nice, thanks for this. I was thinking I may just go for something like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125267633436?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=hvhrslfzts2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=QaUPJCYzS9e&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
  18. Had to do nothing on my 2017 Golf GTD Estate. Tell a lie, today the passenger side mirror glass fell off in the heat πŸ˜€ also the air con is empty. Friendly VW garage said they would sort tomorrow for me!
  19. Thanks for the update. I'm a tad out of touch, not looked at ice since I used to run a shop installing it (25 yrs ago!) so not in the best position to advise. This said, back then if / where the customer on a tight budget more often than not it was a case of installing a Kenwood KSC-W801 applified bass tube, putting it in the same cabin space as the driver (for example in the footwell behind their seat when it would fit). Then cut the bass on the head unit and off they would go. Then it was head unit after this, then, if they did want to throw some proper money at it later, door & boot builds 😬 'them were the days' πŸ˜€
  20. Hey, I'm interested as will be in the same position soon. How did you get on?
  21. Hey, I'm new here, hence only just responding. How did you get on? Did you see this https://youtu.be/QtdvgOFwjKQ?si=B3NFtHc88d6k2whg
