Cheers, so you used the foam to prevent it resonating? or to make a tighter fit?

Noisy door - creak hunt diary... 69 plate
Aha!! Ok so I went back in to wipe things down after the ptfe and waddaya know!!! Looks like the passenger window control panel is blue!! All the others are black!! So possibly a loose or broken clip behind there after previous owner replaced it... Pics attached either a weird optical illusion or there actually is a blueish interior option ?

Noisy door - creak hunt diary... 69 plate
Ok so there is an annoying tickly tickle noise on that rough tarmac you get on slowish roads, when moving around 20-30mph. It seems to be going from centre of front passenger door panel. It wasn't there when I bought the car 2nd hand from main dealer and it was liberally coated inside and out in that shiny greasy stuff they put everywhere to make it feel new. The sound regardless of window position, and regardless of whether central locking is on or off. 1- So I've removed the main door handle top part and given it all a good coating of dry ptfe spray where parts meet. didn't help 2- Then I used dry ptfe spray in the panel gap between the main handle and the handle top part, capillary action taking it down along the seam. didn't help 3- Then I did the same dry ptfe spray in the panel gap around the window switch panel and the main handle. still didn't help Next- is to remove the handle top half again and check the bolt holding handle to door is tight but it certainly doesn't feel loose. And while it's off I will use actual silicon grease on those little metal clips that hold handle top half onto main handle body, I reckon one of those could possibly be rattling? After that we are into the realms of removing door card and muffling any loose wires, but I don't fancy that tbh don't want to break any plastic clips by mistake. And if it didn't do it 3 months ago why is it doing it now? Any body else been through this? cheers!

Grinding/squeaking noise
Jimbobnbob was the car braking smoothly though? My brakes are lovely and smooth and quiet and powerful but I have a similar noise to yours when driving can be heard at slow speeds.

KESSY Key
Both of mine are held in place with small strip of clear ‘copter tape after a similar event . No foot stool though

Stiff door hinge?
Sorted, I wasn’t expecting much capillary action but a quick squirt of white grease on the hinge gap and also on that tie rod thing did the trick

Stiff door hinge?
Hi the right rear door feels sort of ok when open , but generally overcomes momentum before it fully shuts, then needs reopening and pushing shut more forcefully. At first I thought this strap thing might have a tension adjustment inside the door? But now wondering if just hinge issue. Any advice please? Also I’m def not a door slammer, so I don’t want to just end up whamming it shut

Warning lights - auto braking system?
Thanks both , I wonder if the pdf I have is a bit early it seems to try to cover everything but does a bad job of all of it it and is full of spelling errors and logical mistakes. Definitely didn’t see those for instance they look perfect thanks. I’ll get a new version from that link.

Warning lights - auto braking system?
Hi all have had a long day of very narrow lanes with high sides and plenty of stop start for passing oncoming traffic with mirrors folded back . Then in the same journey on slightly easier roads two orange icons appeared, looks like the ‘warning and auto braking’ system to me. After a couple of miles the road widened and the lights went out… front sensor looks clean to me no mud. Photo attached have I got the right idea? Just overwhelmed it a bit maybe?

Ok well I got home and the holder has a rubber mat in it already! I’ve felted the other faces and let’s see how it goes.

How does the dsg ride the clutch very slowly uphill?
( I tried some general googling but all I found was dsg horror stories!)

How does the dsg ride the clutch very slowly uphill?
Yeah it’s great isn’t it, I started to wonder if this magical slipping was actually not a good idea in a long steep queue so i let it stop and did a series of short normal 4mph crawls like I would in a manual car , felt like some heat was going to be generated somewhere otherwise.

How does the dsg ride the clutch very slowly uphill?
Hi I’m loving the DSG as my first auto , yesterday in a traffic jam I realised I was using the brake on a steep uphill to keep speed to 1mph. The revs were idling, no juddering at all , so is the DSG slipping the clutch or is there some other mechanism allowing this?

Anybody removed and replaced the sunglasses holder?
Ah great thanks, in my old car it didn’t open very far so I had to remove it. A nice job for the weekend

Anybody removed and replaced the sunglasses holder?
Id like to line it with felt so I don't have to hear the sunglasses rattle but it feels like brittle plastic so im wary of trying to persuade it out without some knowledge first. Im hoping it'll be like the lower glove box, a couple of tabs to push and out it comes? not at home to look right now though, cheers!

Evening!
Hi all, I just waved off my much loved 15 year old 100k miles S-Max and now have a Kodiaq 190 SE-L which actually, I already love Still can't believe the S-Max boot was larger, but the rest of the Kodiaq is a giant step up in comfort and solidity. I have a few questions to ask, the inevitable small customisations, and hopefully nothing too mechanical and serious to deal with. cheers
