  1. I changed my 2016 L&K for a 2019 L&K back in January. No trouble with the previous seat but since I changed I am having awful trouble with my back.......to the extent tat I'm thinking of changing the car. Agony.
  2. I would say the ratio is 60:40 motorway to non motory driving.........BUT........when it's not on a motorway.....It gets pushed on.....hard!!
  3. This Skoda/VW platform is notorious for allignment issues........particularly on the rear. I have seen that on my rears many times over the 1 million kms plus that I have done on this platform. Just get a 4 wheel allignment done and keep an eye on it.
  4. I have been a travelling salesman for 30 years.........have driven a few million kms.
  5. I put 650,000kms on an Octavia 2.0tdi (140) DSG
  6. I just chopprd my 2016 2.0tdi DSG L&K against my current car in January. Can't remember exactly but it had circa. 400k kms on it. I had it on long life servicing and sometimes I had to top up the oil before a service interval...........a couple of wheel bearings and a DCC shock was all that failed on it.
  7. Check out the "carsifi" dongle as well. The charging pad is ridiculous. I'd say it was designed to fit an iphone. Basic Samsung Galaxy S20/S22/S23 will fit (just about)
  8. The car feeling "lighter" is a great way of describing it. Look at the gain on your torque curve. Absolutely no need to ever rev past 3k
  9. The 184 is a different engine altogether. I don't think it was ever in a Superb. Golf's & Octavia's
  10. The 190 is more likely to trouble the traction control than the remapped 150 My 190 was a 2016 so had the 6 spd DSG, whereas my 2019 150 has the 7 spd.........it's a weird change from 1st to 2nd in the 7spd, I find............it kinda slips the clutch between 1st and 2nd (this is probably why it doesn't break traction as easily as my old 190.
  11. A lad called Brian, based in Kilcock, Co.Kildare done the remap for me (I'd have to root out the actual name of the company) Servicing is normally done by a friend of mine (Independant garage) using Skoda genuine parts, where possible.
  12. I have just remapped my 2019 150 tdi. The figures from all the remap companys will tel you that the car will end up with 185 - 190 hp and 420-430 nm........so actually, slightly more powerful than the 190 version, but I find it is not as powerful as the std 190. The standard 190 has a bigger turbo and higher spec injectors . I ran a 190 for almost 4 years and this January chopped it in against a 150, within 24 hours I had the 150 remapped.........it is definitely worth doing....definitely. But you won't have a faster car than a 190. I find with the remapped 150, I don't really have to rev it past 3k because the torque is so strong now. At motorway speeds (120 kmh in Ireland) a little dab on the throttle will drop the car to 6th gear and the roll on grunt is very impressive. Did I mention it's worth doing !!
  13. Also, make sure the parcel shelf is "securely" sitting in its holders........sometimes you think they are in place but need quite a hard thump for them to seat in properly.
  14. I need one of those flat bottem flappy paddle wheels in my car!!!!!
  15. Oh no.........look what I've started!!!!! So, for the avoidance of doubt.......mechanical sympathy prevents me from putting my car into 1st while moving.
  16. Please don't all gang up on me......it's a genuine question, I'm not trying to be a smart arse. Why would you downshift to 1st while still moving?? I have put over 1,000,000kms on two seperate cars with the 6spd wet DSG box....... and that is something I would never have felt the need to do.
  17. Not today.......but I had my 2019 150 tdi re-mapped to circa 190 and 420nm.....it's driving lovely . Friday just gone......I met up with a very kind member itsbrun (Bryan) and he very kindly updated my maps to the latest 2023 switched on scandanavian DRL's De-activated start/stop Start button now "pulsates" Switched throttle to "Responsive" setting Interior lights now fade off If ever someone was due a bottle of wihiskey next Xmas.........it's Bryan!!!!!! Thanks a million mate.
  18. I have access to a Skoda Tech ......when he's not at his day job......by night, he's a Skoda SuperHero!!
  19. That's brilliant JR....thanks 👌 Do you think it would come with a massive bill in a Skoda main dealer??? (supply and fit)
  20. That's not gonna happen anutime soon .........I'll just have to get used to pressing the mode button 3 times after each start. I'll be exhausted!!!!🙄
  21. As per title really...... My 2016 L&K 2.0tdi DSG remembered the drive mode it was last in (individual) upon its next start..................the 2019 model I got today doesn't, the only difference is this new one is a 150 the 2016 was a 190. Is there any solution to this????
  22. My Samsung S20 fits in fine and charges........I'd say any of these "plus" or "ultra" model phones and it would be a no no. My USB question has been answered..........the feckin car doesn't have one (an option box not ticked I'd say) but it has the blank where it should be........I wonder how much hassle it would be for someone who knew what they where doing???
  23. That's exactly where I plan to put the Carsifi Dongle......the dimensions are a little different but it will fit there. On a different note.......the wireless charging pad looks a little small, are you limited on what phone will fit?
  24. Thanks a million for getting back to me. That all seems way above my paygrade.....but thanks for trying to help.
  25. I won't have the car until Friday. I got one of those Carsifi wireless Android Auto Dongles........I'm using it at the moment plugged into the ashtray aux/usb but I'd rather have it out of the way in the armrest storage. My current 2016 L&K only has the one in the ashtray.
