  1. Sorry for being a numpty. Will these fit my 2006 Octy with 312mm brakes ??? if so, how much to post to Ireland ??
  2. Hi, sorry to revive such an old thread. While trying to track down a coolant leak, my mechanic traced the leak back to this unit. The rubber seal sits in a little channel and a portion of this seams to have given way (melted??) causing the rubber seal to give way in a couple of places. I think this is the thermostat housing, its located on the right hand side of the block underneath the metal EGR pipe.
  3. How much to post a wall calender to Ireland ??
  4. Thats 620 of your UK mile thingys. Damn, I miss Miles. Our cars over here don't even have Miles on the speedo anymore(used to be dual reading)
  5. I drove a few hundred Kms in bad rain yesterday and I was very pleased with them. I do realise they are for driving in bad conditions and not designed to perform like a summer tyre but they are doing better than expected.
  6. 1000kms on these and still not dead yet !!
  7. Are you sure it wasn't Becketts or 130R Hopefully they'll be alright.
  8. Got these on today and so far they haven't tried to murder me. Only done about 60kms today but will be doing 500kms tomorrow so should have some useful feedback then. As a matter of interest, these are listed as "all season" tyres on Eiretyres.ie (Mytyres.co.uk) but they have M+S and snowflake/mountain symbol and are a very well priced full winter tyre for those of us that can't afford "premium" brands.
  9. Ordered tyres on Friday 4th, recieved tyres on Friday 11th, Germany to Ireland over land............not bad. The DPD tracking site is telling me that their still in Germany ?????
  10. I would be very tempted to go for the greene with the new red interior. But I would probably go safe with the platin grey or anthracite.
  11. Where might you find such plates ?? a friend of a friend of a friends brother in law might be looking for some.
  12. Someone please tell me they will be safer then summer tyres during the winter months, or should I really bin them and buy some Hankooks/Falkens or Kuhmos ??
  13. Ooops!!!! Thanks for the feedback, I might give them to my boss
  14. Just bought some Federal all season WS1 (225/45/17 94H XL). I did not go for the full winter tyre as I do about 10,000kms a month and the weather hasn't got bad enough yet. I know you normally "get what you pay for" and I did get a very good deal on these (74euros each) but I was wondering, have I just wasted my money ????
  15. Your a star Julie, finding winter tyres will be a little easier ( and cheaper ) with that information, thanks again.
  16. Thanks Julie, is there any distinction between petrol/diesel or manual/DSG ??
  17. You have obviously never tried to get information from Skoda Ireland !!! but thanks for the very helpful suggestion
  18. Can't find the answer to this anywhere on the net. Do I need to use XL rated (94) tyres for my 17" Pegasus wheels on my 2006 2.0tdi DSG (factory sports suspension) or will 91 do the trick. 225/45/17
  19. My '06 2.0Tdi DSG (BKD) has 423,000kms on it. It has had 2 turbos, 1 under warranty and 1 out of my own pocket which I think is very acceptable given the mileage. If it has a solid service history, I wouldn't bat an eyelid.
  20. Could you PM me with your "going cheap" price please. Cheers.
  21. Ok, maybe not then. Any nice photo's of White Twin Door on 17" or 18" wheels. Its a big gamble to take and I like to see a few before I order.
