  1. Is new thermostat working? It can be faulty. Have you readed temp by obd or gauge? Coolant hoses arent hot either?
  2. How soon you start driving after cold start? If you wait and engine warms up little bit does it hesitate? Will it rev okay on idle?
  3. These "newer" diesels are like that. City/mixed is usually under 40 mpg and highway like older ones. More weight and slower heating than example old 1.9tdi with lighter car. My 2.0 manual superb goes about 44mpg highway based mixed driving or my short 12km work trip. More city and it goes 38mpg. Long highway trips and we are even 57mpg Even my older 2003 passat 1.9pd did that way. 1996 1.9tdi passat took 51-47mpg at city based.
  4. No fault codes? Will it start good and will it idle good at cold?
  5. Seems like my thermostat is bad. Tooks too much to gain 80c to 87c. Behr oe quality and lasted only 15k miles :(
  6. I have 2010 170hp manual, now 275k miles. Wont drink oil and runs great. Ex owner did dual mass and clutch +turbo about 215k miles. Those usually break at that miles what ive looked. But you have done clutch allready. Some services are harder than old 1.9tdi but not bad. Thermostat takes some work so maybe look that it works or if not, reduce price. Even at winter gives warm. Lots of near 400k mile ones here too so its not weak engine.
  7. That was i thinking but its correct. Top heater hose is where i installed heater. Block side is now having webasto water pump what pulls coolant thru heater to heater core. Hose number 3 (I dont have those auxilary hoses which comes with factory heater)
  8. Straight to battery +. is there something on coolant system that "brakes" coolant flow with aux heater?
  9. Yes i installed it myself and it has own module where i can but if on/off or ajust by clock. It has no connection to car modules or blower motor etc. And it has own temp gauge too. It shows pretty same temps than ecu.
  10. Hello Few days ago i installed heater to my 2.0tdi cbbb superb. It works well and heats well when engine its not running but when engine runs and webasto runs, it wont help car to warm any faster than without it. Now its been +5-7 celcius and it tooks same 8km to open thermostat (checked on obd) no matter webasto or not. Water pump is rotating right and i installed heater in water hose which comes to heater core. So water which is coming into the heater core goes thru webasto.
  11. I did it once today but maybe that son of a... plastic pipe with o ring drips some coolant. Engine is CBBB. Ive watched few videos on youtube. Most of videos there is xzn bolt near oil filter which keeps plastic pipe in block. I have it too but its behind of oil filter complex. No way that you can open it with complex on. Is that true? Another models you just use extension and open it up.
  12. Okay i had to check vcds. How about is there been faults at burned light monitoring? Check rear right reverse light keeps on appearing and burned bulb symbol. Lights are working and ive been replaced bulb also.
  13. And when fan turns on, its not full power. You hear it but its not like summertime hot. Or is superb fan allways quiet? Ive seeking for vagcom so i can see data (only have old blue cable). Basic elm bt obd said no fault codes. Btw is there coolant temp limitations for heater ptc? Today was pretty warm inside cabin even outside was cold. Coolant temp reached only 65c but thermostat is known to be bad. I got new one but changing it seems need some disassembly
  14. Okay thanks. Nothing else that regen wont kick fan on at cold engine idling?
  15. Today -25 and i started car. After 30s idling again fan on. Ive been driving long trips so could it be dpf? And will car start even dpf regen with cold engine?
  16. How often it will regen DPF? And how long run it takes to regen?
  17. Hello! I just started my journey with superb. It has 2.0litee CBBB engine. Sometimes at idle it rises idle about 1000rpm. Coolant fan runs sometime at low speed (there is -10 outside and engine is not for sure hot). What causes it? If i wanna install auxilary heater, is there somewhere fuel supply?
