  1. And dpf is original too. If i choose i rather take high km than low. Long distance driving is good for diesel and many repairs are made before you buy car. Example turbo or dual mass. (About 350k done for my car). It had 405k when i bought.
  2. Hello 2010 2.0tdi cbbb manual sedan. Do i need right code wiring harness and box when i install tow bar or is it just okay if its for same engine and manual?
  3. I have soon 450tkm and running strong. Only body rust is top off skirts near rear wheels. Skirt and bottom of car not bad. Now seems that rear bushings etc are little bit worn but cheap to fix.
  4. So do i but it gives little play which is important what comes good closing/opening.
  5. That center lock is very accurate for its position. I had grille off and lock bolts off and bonnet wasnt closing when it wasnt right place. Next adjustment turned opposite, very stiff opening handle now.
  6. Is comfort module still number one suspect like older vags? I have 0.4-0.7a leakage current when car "sleeps. After i press doors lock its little time 0.2 but then raises up. Already plugged new alternator power cable off but no difference. This problem started after alternator change but seems just be coisindence.
  7. Thanks. I got only like this: Starters
  8. Oe number 02M911024P offers lots of starter motors. Some has "bosch" and some "valeo" style. Are they interchancable? Measures and bracket looks same but body cast near starter gear looks different between those two. Original is 280k miles and still going but i want buy new one just in case. High mileage usually is valeo thing and my oe alternator was valeo too.
  9. Done. Not so bad. Ac compressor bolts off, coolant fan off, plastic bumber off and steel bumber also. Gives nice space. I think other work is useles like engine jacking and bracket removal.
  10. Yes rpm gain is not normal but sounds otherwise normal
  11. At winter time its normal that temp goes down at idle or low speed city driving. These cant keep temp 90 at idle. But if it dropped immediately not about after 2-5min then there is something.
  12. Engine CBBB. Yeeh this is funny job. Is only possible get alternator out put front end to service position? Now its stuck at radiator (fan off) Ive jacking engine up and down, ac compressor loosened. Wondered also will it fit without clutch but i dont think so.
  13. Yeah sounds like engine thermostat. 4-5h replacing first time. Second time maybe 2h. Bolt behind oil filter is only true pita.
  14. TYC headlights 80€ piece but i dont know is RHD versions more expensive.
  15. If you wanna try quicker way use drill and soft polishing pad with farecla g3 etc But if those are bad then sanding or new ones.
  16. Got this. It only needed big power to turn. Locking pin at camshaft is about 5.7mm. 5mm drill bit went nicely to hole and there was some play also. Didnt wanna mess sprocket bolts anymore. Lets see is it enought. Feels like little bit noisier at cold idle (valvetrain type sound) but after couple minutes idle all ok. Today test drive is judgement day. Hopefully no cam/crank based codes.
  17. Hi My first time. Enginw cbbb. I have loosen cam and pump sprockets. Have all locking tools except tensioner locking tool. No matter what i do, new timing belt is pita to install. Very hard to but on place. And when its placed, tensioner wont came even close. Feels like belt is allready too tight and tensioner cant tighten it enought to get mark on. And im not talking about mark is close to where it should be, its far far away.
  18. Here 1.9 unit injector engines were available only 2010 and older superbs but if you have it main thermostat is easy job versus 2.0cr engines
  19. Are those temps at car own gauge or obd? Idle is too high that 750 is correct.
  20. And if you have some time berofe cold start + electric this kind of hose heaters are common at vag engines here. At superb installation place just close to aux water pump under engibe. About one hour and coolant +40c if its not colder than -15.
  21. This is my style but i prefer that grill cover also. These wont get that hot that you have to be worry about. Under +10 to +5 just use it. I think these are clever, if yo put heat on, example 20-21c deg inside it wont took all engine heat inside. If you use high blow and high temp that will slow down engine temp. I use allways temp 21-22C deg at winter and we have normal winter here -10 to -20 weeks and months.
  22. Have you tried this? https://youtu.be/DyiE2QrHW58?si=1QVsrPEaEUHdzlp9
  23. Yeah above register plate is best place. If you hide light behind grille or above register plate, lighting power will be decreased and bumby and hilly road gives shadows easily. I have 22" wide 216w led bar. Gives nice light to ditches and forward.
  24. In here Finland, weather 0 to -5 its about 10k miles if steady highway at 50-55mph speed and you got thermostat open and +87c. Using 6th gear on manual. -10-15 using 5th gear, maybe some miles more. I use always cardboard to block radiator when outside temps are +5 or lower. It gives nice boost. All kind of grill covers which comes outside are worth of nothing in here. Maybe good for middle europe winter.
  25. There is those rubber parts what i mean.
