2.0TSi 4x4 or 2.0tdi 4x4?
Same here. No dilemma which one to choose! The right engine for that car is 2.0 tsi, no doubts. Every time when I drive it, and just press the acceleration pedal, the smile is coming on my face. F*ck that 1-2 litters petrol on top...

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
The perception is the following: Manufacture is interested only to have limited or no issues during the warranty. After that, the need to sell you again, right? Lower viscosity might be the key to have you engine do not lasting after 5 years or after warranty. Who knows, but I can’t believe 5w30 will damage anything in you engine, especially when from 2 litters you have 270ps with turbo charge and 400 NM of torque. For me, 0w20 is to cover only emissions, nothing more.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
@Rigor with the 0w20 - in the town 110-115 degree. With the 5w30 max that I reached is 103. In the highway, they keep the same 101-103 degree, but with the 5w30 when i slow down, the temp goes down, but with 0w20 remains above 100 degree. @Ootohere why old? The first from 2016 to 2018 with 2.0 tsi 280p.s - 5w30 or 5w40. The second generation from 2018 to 2021 with 2.0 tsi 272p.s - 5w30 or 0w30. The third generation from 2021 to 2024 with 2.0 tsi 280p.s - 0w30. The fourth generation from 2024with 2.0 tsi 265p.s - 0w20. What changed? All of them are identical in terms of mechanics are identical. No visual differences. The diff comes from the GPF/OPF filter, but nothing to the engine itself. 5w30 is also good for DPF/GPF/OPF filters. IMHO, using 5w30 is the best approach if you want to have your engine in perfect condition. p.s with my other car, Octavia 3 with 2.0 tsi 190p.s, with recommended engine oil of 0w20, till now, 90k km on the clock am using 5w30 in every second oil change. The first one with 0w20 in the official dealership, second one in other garage. That was when it was under warranty. Till this day, the engine is in perfect condition. Believe or not, with 5w30 the situation with oil temperature is the same as I described above. Keep at least 10 degrees below than 0w20. p.s.1 am using only AmsOil products like additives, engine oil etc.

Tailgate switch closing problems
Today I also visited the dealer. They said, try to calibrate the tailgate. When it's fully open, press and hold the button till you heard a sound. In my case, did not close when am close to the rear bumper. But, that not happening often. Still, I can't find the pattern to simulate it in a similar conditions.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
I just reach total 2400km in the odometer. And I replaced the engine oil with 5w30 covering VW 504.00, 507.00, instead of the recommended 0w20 VW 508.00, 509.00. And big surprise , no oil stick to check the quantity .... On a first glance, the oils stick from 2.0tsi 280p.s should be the same. Will check in a week. So far, so good. Now, I can try what can do that car with that engine safety. Will push the acceleration pedal a bit more :)

Tailgate switch closing problems
In my case, from the car key I can close it for now. But it's awkward. When I open the tailgate and just can't close it in any way. Will drop an update what local dealership will say about it.

Tailgate switch closing problems

Software failure not so Superb
The car required an software update, based on the message displayed on the media. I enable it. So good so far. I drove around 120 kilometres. Put it on the parking spot, and after 6 hours surprise. Line assistance and SOS module not available. check the user guide. Multiple times, i tried to switch off and switch on the engine, lo luck. Drove another 120 kilometres with these warnings on the odo screen. On the next day, these messages were disappeared. No warnings, nothing. Like they were never before.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
Is there any way to switch off the alarm for the seat belt located on the rear seat, when someone is there? It's a bit annoying to have it.
-
New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
From what i can see ,the engine is with Direct injection and Multi-port manifold injection. Does that mean, it's with the 8 nozzles, like the first generation of 2.0 tsi 280 p.s from 2016?

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
Correct it's DQ381, not DQ380. For the rest, am agreed. That's why will mix 95 and 100 ron. Just to be in the middle. At least, the car has 5 years and 150k km warranty

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
Yes, we are in Dust reach region. But, the dealership did not pay attention on that. They recommend: Engine oil and filter on every 2 years or 30k km. Cabine and engine air filter on the same interval. DSG maintenance over DQ380/1 on every 60-120k km with only oil change. Haldex on every 4 years or 60k km. The interesting thing is: Octavia 2018,with DSG DQ 380, maintenance as oil and filter is on every 60k km or 4 years. Octavia 2019, with DSG DQ 380, maintenance is only oil change on every 120k km. What changed? Engine and transmission are the same. Just one year difference. Duuno why VW claimed that.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
The issue is observed when the spark change happen on 60k kilometers. That's why, they recommend to be in every 2 years or 30k km. That is from last year. Basically, the maintenance interval is decreased twice. I just shared what they told me. Didn't point in any direction. What am doing in every petrol Skoda with DSG that I had. DSG maintenance, sparks, brake fluid, Haldex maintenance on every 30k km or 4 years. Engine oil every 6-10k km with all filters. So far, no issues with any Skoda that I had with that maintenance. Will keep doing the same with the existing Superb 4.

Bulgaria. From the dealership told me, that they d o not recommend high octane to be used. They observe issues with sparks. That's why, will go with that approach.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
95 ron. I personally will do, on every 2-3 petrol thanks, will put one with petrol with 100ron. I do the same for my other car 2.0 tsi 190p.s, and no issue till now. 6 years and 85k kilometers on the clock.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
Update on a front lights issue that I had. The lights can be adjusted from the dealership. Now, they are working fine.

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
Dunno. I need to reach at least 5k km, one motor oil change, before see on what is capable that car. From my other car, Octavia 190p.s 2WD and DSG, performing very well from 2.5k to 6.5k rpms. No lag, no sluggish. When I press the gas pedal, just goes straight ahead. Do not stop, like a diesel after 3.4k rmps. But, the petrol consumption is different as we can understand. Am expecting the same from my Superb 265p.s. To be fun when I'm in mood, and it's safe to drive like that

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
508/509 is the standard. I can find only 0w20 motor oil. Which is odd.
-
New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
What is the recommended engine oil that has to be used in your countries? That is for 2.0 tsi 265p.s. With the 2.0 tsi 280 it was 0w30. Now, it s pointed to 0w20?

New Superb 2.0 TSI 265 p.s - some questions and impressions
Does anyone experienced issue with the front lights? When they are on, and it's dark outside, they are lightning just a couple of meters upfront of the car. This Friday, will visit the dealer to add mud flaps over all sides, and also will check and tune the front lights, if possible.
