That is bananas more money than sense?? Does it smoke like bob marley? -
Oh yeah theres no doubt its a good map on it :8 no nasty torque spikes and its a nice steady torque curve, so its not a clutch killer, all boost hoses are sorted just going to do the open mouth to help with cooling, going to sort flywheel then take it from there om 50/50 on what im gona do, does still pull away from mapped fabias but not to the extend im happy with

clutch problem! and no not what you think!
jasc1988 replied to rallyslag3's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
I just know mines always did it, it could be random when it did it there wasnt a set rule, possibly your release bearing at fault then, it never bothered me too much personally -

jasc1988 replied to jamesrbeaumont's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
he isnt replacing the cat, its a cat back so goes from the cat back ? personally the noise will increse a minute amount.... but you get the added bonus of having a nice tailpipe and lifetime use... but it wont sound like a petrol no matter what you do -
yes the vrs sits 15mm lower than the standard car

think i'll go to jabba or richard washbrook

194.9bhp and 299.9 lb-ft torque... disappointing :( -
the ones on that blue polo are polo dune wheels there cool :8
-
Cat back or backbox? Pretty pointless on a 1.4 imo, get it looking nice nice oem+ wheels and slam it on coilovers, go for looks as you'll not get performance out of it

replacing brake discs.... how much?
jasc1988 replied to klloyd89's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
It is pretty straight foward to do only 'specialist' tool needed is a caliper rewind tool available from halfords for £20, handbrake cable on rear doesnt need removed, all that needs removed is the caliper, the discs squeeze past the carriers, just!! Get a friend to help me and a friend had a race to do my rear discs and pads, only took 30mins fronts are even easier just push caliper back rather than wind :8 -
I also have a bmc cda quite pricey around 300quid all in once ypu buy the pd160 trumpet and samco hoses etc, makes a slight noisebut if you want a 'roar' a hybrid turbos the only way
-
hi thanks for that! I have 4 new plugs waiting to go in the harness how do you change it? Will i have to cut the old unit out and splice the wiring?? Or does it unplug? Thanks
-
Oh aye, i remember now the vrs's are like butt holes now aint they
-
yes if you like, where are you from? do i know you? was yours the low one?
-
sweet gonna have to invest in a re-remap then lol
-
Car sometimes wont start, possibly alternator i thought was going to replace glow plugs today and look what i found just a few questions. 1) what has likely caused this? 2) can i just get another glow plug 'rail' of a smashed fabia vrs and connect it with a straight through connector onto my wiring? 3) when i've done this should i put some electric contact grease on the top of the glowplugs to ensure its getting a good connection 4) would this possibly be my starting issue? thanks

Engine oil leak from intercooler hoses.
jasc1988 replied to nick!!!!!!!!!!'s topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
yes boost hoses will need replaced there a common weak point get down to skoda and order a new top and bottom ic hose... top is £25 i think the bottom one is ridiculously priced at £80 or something, what i did was self tapper the bottom one to the intercooler, saved myself £80 and it never leaked again
