Regarding the updating of a car's software, Tesla seem to be constantly pushing the boundaries and that can only be a good thing. A notice on the Polestar website says there'll be one in early 2021 so not quite as active. How VAG are coping remains to be seen unless @greenstripe can enlighten how his E-Tron has been catered for?
