Inspect Cambelt
Absolutely, I just don't bother doing jobs like this now, modern engines are so compact and tech loaded, I prefer someone else struggle and get the backache. I'd just get the belt changed just below the service interval for it, it isn't worth the hassle and potential damage to other components. And yes, I service ny own ,and others vehicles, plus I've built engines from scratch in the past.

Replacement Shocks?
Because, being a registered MOT centre they are required to advise, even if it isn't a fail. As part of the MOT inspection at any centre, for any brand, it could be an indication of a fault developing, allowing to owner to take action before it becomes dangerous.

Tyre Load Index
I personally tend to go for Bridgestone, found them to always be in the leaderboard in track tyre test comparison, and having multiple brands fitted on company cars, found them to outperform all the other supposedly premium brands. I abandoned Pirelli long ago, except for particular lines that excel. Continental have always been touted as the leader, but I've had nothing but bad experiences on grip (especially wet) and shocking wear performance, across a number of their lines over the years.

Mystery Object Game
Absolutely, using a viofio the body of mine is attached to the black part and the lens just below. It's essential to get the maximum height possible for coverage, and the lens pointing down to avoid light balance issues. What's even more important is that the cam screen isn't visible, if it doesn't have an auto screen off option after powering on.

Tyre Load Index
We have XL's (purely down to the required all season) on our Suzuki SUV, and have had on other 'lighter' vehicles. What I would say, compared to the standard rating ones I've had on company cars, they seem far more puncture (blowout) resistant on now crumbling roads. Perhaps it's pure coincidence, but I've lost a number of tyres as a mobile worker, who has to cover some pretty challenging eroded country roads in a company car, compared to driving the same/similar roads (usually over high terrain) in my private vehicles. Same speed, same driving style.

Yep, used many times over the decades for different makes!

Extra deep rear discs ?? Karoq 1.5 TSI
To be honest, it's best to avoid Halfords like the plague, they jave always been a sad joke (the equivalent of Curries for cars). There's so many reputable, knowledgeable suppliers out there, who would most likely provide equivalent, or superior items at lower cost.

'You have been selected...'
There's always a number of fixed build vehicles sent to dealers, I was already aware of that before our sales guy told me exactly the same, so yes they need to shift stock (especially with September plate) They also have a 'discount' or Skoda contribution on PCP, not new, always there, but frequently marketed as if a new deal It's not a new tactic, you are just on the mailing list.

RAC car insurance
Next to nothing to amend with Churchill, looking at quotes the RAC has always been one of the most overpriced on comparison sites. So I wouldn't be at all surprised with that charge. But absolutely true, getting the details correct is essential, especially if it came to a claim and the default due to error!

Davanti tyres - seem pretty good
Each to their own, but I'd check the performance testing reviews. Obviously it depends upon financial circumstances, and it's balancing outlay against potential risk/reward Personally, I'd rather have something that stops me that 4,5 or more metres shorter, if someone, or especially a kid steps out. (even when money would run out well before pay day, we always bught best we could) I'd also rather pay that bit extra now, than the insurance increase from a bump over time. It's the same argument that used to be made once ...'remoulds are just as good ' 🤷

Karoq 1.5Tsi spark plug replacement cost!
Older engines certainly will take a set of plugs around that price, however modern, high efficiency, turbocharger engines won't. Looking at doing the plugs on our Suzuki, and the long-life plugs are at least £26 each, fortunately there's only 3. They aren't a simple fit either, and even with 40+ yrs servicing, and building engines, including performance (buold) tuning (not the mapping B.S.), it's still a challenge I'm not relishing.

Trying to Understand Android Auto and Skoda Amundsen together
Quite incorrect (I work in IT), Bluetooth is more than able to manage streaming and navigation (or mirroring), and in fact I use a Bluetooth dongle system for my (not wireless AA enabled) Android auto system, it streams music, calls and navigation to the head unit without breaking a sweat. If you consider a phone copy to cooy of images, or apps etc, is routine, the later BT stacks have absolutely no issue with the bit if data AA requres. However, newer systems do use both, but it isn't for lack of ability with BT.

Really don't like my new karoq (or two aspects anyway)!
Just to add, you really can't compare a hybrid to a lone ICE, the assistance and serup of transmission is very very different. Having owned, and ridden in hybrids, it's like starting off etc in a dodgem, every little change smoothed out by the battery system. It really is comparing 'chalk and cheese '.
