  1. Hi , I had Mitsubishi Pajero 2800 diesel truck. The car was a grey import and was superb ( sorry about that ) I had the car totally serviced changing all oils etc etc. My only concern was the engine oil so after a couple of thousand miles I spoke to the boss of the garage who serviced all the cars and we agreed to do a oil flush.Prior to the flush we took the rocker corner of and everything satisfactory. Took the car down after hours and did the engine flush ! I am saying that house bricks came out of the sump but the oil was lumpy. This particular diesel engine didn't really have tolerance so we filled the engine up with cheap engine oil and flushed it through the system 3 or 4 times. Prior to filling the engine with premium engine oil he installed a small camera to check any contamination left behind. All clear was he reply so we filled up the engine. It ran perfectly and still running well. As he said officially his garage will not flush gearboxes or engines if he does not know the service history of the car. As he said cost to the job correctly can be prohibited but as I paid for all oils , flushing liquid and he paid for the labour ( 4 hours ) and those costs are not commercially viable. He conclusion if you must flush a system it's not a cheap and cheerful operation and cleanliness is vital.
  2. Hi , I had a big brother system in my last car , Mercedes information shown to driver , average speed , average miles per gallon , miles per gallon , proper tyre monitoring system and to agree the list goes on. However, the Mercedes Me was awful in that services I paid for continuity removed. I still receive information from the car and the last transmission was that the coolant level was low !
  3. Hi , not sure what the actual engine from Audi has been transplanted into a Superb Estate. From memory it's a green example
  4. Hi , thank for your ideas re wheel tramping. Tyres Michelin Primacy 4+ Tyres on front have 5 mm of tread
  5. Hi , My 2019 1.5 Tsi has trouble putting 150 bhp down onto the tarmac and that not even flooring the throttle I have no idea to where all the drivings aids are hiding but from a standstill the performance is not good. Once the wheels are turning that's another matter. These little engines produce more power than the original Rover V8 3500 engine. That is the problem with front wheel drive cars but I am aware that other member will not agree.
  6. Might be worth putting a couple of quality batteries in the keys. Surely worth a try
  7. Hi , My Superb came with three keys and I asked the dealer why and the told me that it's for the auto door opening ! Are the key batteries fresh ? Sorry could be of no more help.

  9. My first go so please be gentle with me. A friend of mine took his car into his local Skoda dealer to have his breaks inspected. He receives a telephone call from Skoda , requires new discs and pads all round. Mileage was 22,000 but he agreed to the recommendation of the dealer. Next service his is informed that the discs and pads are worn out. From memory it's about 7000 miles. Change them but I want all the old parts back !! Plenty of warning but upon collection he was informed parts have been disposed off. Went to speak to the Dealer Principal who was amazed re wear but told him it must be his driving style. He told the dealer principal what's what and left the garage ! To this day he has not paid the bill for the break components. Now takes his 4 Skoda cars to a local independent garage and saved a fortune
