Yeah! I know. That's why I said VW cost cutting!!!! What annoys me is that it's not even offered as an option. I just broke the habit of a lifetime and looked in the manual where it says this on page 82:- Automatic rear wiper If the windscreen wiping is performed without interruption, then the automatic regular intermittent wiping of the rear window takes place. Never worked for me despite being sert up in the infotainment menu.

Mine's a 2017 1.5TSi and in auto the harder it rains the quicker the front wipers go - up to very fast as long as the switch is in the "large raindrop" position. I thought automatic window wiping happened on the rear too as the manual implies it but I have never got it to work on my current car but it did on a 2016 2 litre TDi and my Mk 2 Ambiente before that. VW cost cutting!!!!

I have a November 17 Octavia SEL with factory fitted front and rear parking sensors, factory fitted tow-bar and factory fitted rear view camera. Can Park Assist & Trailer Assist be retro fitted?
