  3. hummmm so if you can trust urself to rub it all off and out of the holes .... i wonder dont think I would want to risk it mind.
  4. That may actually work on the disk when I used to use my V brakes years ago. I would oil the rims and rub it in with a dry cloth it would make them nice sticky and grippy only slight problem is when you forget to rub part of the rim I found Washing up liquid would work a bit but not as well as the oil
  5. I have been told and read up that a good way to bed them in is to ride with the brakes on for a while and after a while they feel loads better
  6. there could be a few Briskodians popping along as a few of us did pop along last year
  7. oooOOooo 5mins round the ring road from me Will this meet involve a trip to the Mc Donalds there :P keep us posted on details and I should pop along
  8. the 91 Act is in use with most Councils but wait for the next one 2004 Act This allows Councils to issue tickets by CCTV I think London is converting on July 1st and then the rest of the country will follow
  9. Just a Question ?? not sure of the answer. Is there any point in heel - toeing a deseil engine?
  10. I know a little about getting out of parking tickets through my new job finding these loopholes. but the main ways are if the Ticket isn't printed properly, Please PM or post a copy of the ticket on here and I could help. You are unable to get away with the broken double yellow lines unless you can get your whole car in between the lines. Width and distance and colour can be differnet as long as the council have applied for the licence and wrote it into their traffic orders. and the no terminating line only works if you are less than about 3 cars parked away from the termination marks. One other choice you may have, Tell us all why you were parked there in the first place as councils can let you off if you have a valid reason to be parked there. Otherwise you have 14days to pay the cheep
  11. I have always had this re-occuring dream of the Earth being sucked from the inside into a Black Hole Always knew my dreams would come true someday

  14. Put me down for this one Im free that week But I cant wreck the car as I will be off to France and Milau Bridge on the Monday
  15.  But who would want a Village Bike when its cheaper online
  16. The Links below should show the reason why I needed a big powerfull Front Disk brake. cotch dot net cotch dot net this Link is from that old MTB video from MBUK called Getta Grip it includes the Rockface I rode with a lot less style mind YouTube - Getta Grip
  17. I always found that when you put the front brake on the the wheel locks up and depending on where your leaning the bike either gives you a nice endo or you get a nice front wheel skid. also if you look at the frame it is actually set up duel Slalom style I dont want 2 bikes I wont one bike that can do it all. I have found that this set up is really nice for allround riding from DH Trials Jump etc. also what disks would you of reccommended for disks that wont have any chance of heating up as there is a particular ride I have done that warped a front disk on my mates old Coyote DH bike and melted my Magura Pads
  18. anyone else see this at 19:00 til 20:00 tonight. was part of the 3 cars to choose from all silver cars, Honda Civic 54 plate 25k miles
  19. Looks allright, Not as bad as a silver one I've seen around Exeter :P
  20. I have got the Moto V2s because of Clifton Gorge Rockface and it does heat up really quickly as it is impossible to ride without the front brake almost on full. Also after melting the Magura Pads (smaller than V Brake) I thought I would cover my tracks and get the best disks that are least likely to over heat, I have found downhilling hardly uses the front brake. Rearbrake is a nice small disk M4 so perfect and is now set up nicely to take speed off smoothly and not on/off. also if it sends me over the bars easily then all the better :P Final thing the RockShox Psylos where the best (when they came out) Sus forks for Jump bikes, as they have not been built Lightweight and where just built to take abuse.
  21. WOW those Moto V2s are really easy to fit pertectly done in 5mintutes with no rubbing disk little cheat with it mind as it had a IS to Post mount adaptor all I had to do was put the wheel on skrew up the IS mout bolts unskrew the Post mount bolts squeeze the brake lever and tighten up the post mount bolts and that left the disk central to the pads may change the back now :P as thats still rubbing and being a sod also I think it is leeking from the reservoir on the lever :( rear brake :( Front Brake
  22. I have know got a nice Front Moto V2 with Vented Disk and Hardtails are way more fun for downhilling :P all you need to do to make a hardtail into a full sus is sit off the saddle anyway :P
