Do you mean DMF? Dual Mass Flywheel?
-
Just checked the invoice for the work on my ABS sensor, the sensor itself was £49.95 + 20% VAT. A replacement module was not required.

I'd recommend getting an OBD II dongle and downloading VAG DPF App. I find it very useful.
-
Had a similar occurrence on my Mk2. The shield behind the OSR brake disk had rusted, become dislodged and damaged the ABS sensor. Got my local Indy to sort it and all is well now.

I wonder if it might be the same problem as the one on the twin door - broken wires in the hinge area?

Superb 2 1.9 tdi timing belt service interval
drefaldwyn replied to Joe41's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
FWIW - I think that the timing belt could be the least of your prospective problems. The 1.9PD wasn't designed to work with a DPF, unlike the later CR engines. I wish you well. Drefaldwyn. -
Skoda Superb 2 ESP Fault
drefaldwyn replied to kunalvaidya's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
Afraid I don't know the fault code. I just took the car into my local VAG specialist and it was sorted. It turns out that the thin metal cover behind the brake disk had partially rusted away, become dislodged and damaged the ABS sensor in the process. -
Skoda Superb 2 ESP Fault
drefaldwyn replied to kunalvaidya's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I recently had the same fault crop up. It was the O/S rear ABS sensor that was faulty. Lit up the three lights that you describe. -
I've recently had this problem with my 2.0 CR Elegance. It turned out to be the O/S rear ABS sensor - the thin metal cover at the back of the brake disc had rusted and become detached. In the process it damaged the ABS sensor. All sorted now - no warning lights.
-
All now sorted! It was the O/S rear ABS sensor. The brake backplate had rusted and become detached, dislodging the sensor. Backplate, wheelbearing/snesor now replaced and all is good. Drefaldwyn

Thanks. It's booked in on the 10th so hopefully all will become clearer then. Drefaldwyn

Just had the above warning "ping" on the MFD. Also the parking sensors have stopped working properly. Would these faults be due to a faulty ABS sensor? Any advice gratefully received.

Another vote for Michelin Cross Climates from me! -
It may be broken wires in the vicinity of the twin door hinge - common problem! Have a search on the forum for Twin Door issues. Drefaldwyn

Assuming that it's a 2.0 TDI then it's every 4 years. Drefaldwyn

Thanks. I don't have any white lithium but I do have a silicon spray with a fine nozzle. I'm now wondering whether that might be OK to use.
-
I've noticed that the ignition key it is becoming stiff to turn. I'm reluctant to start spraying the dreaded WD40 everywhere in case it does more harm than good. Can anyone recommend a suitable lubricant please? Many thanks. Drefaldwyn

Intermittent electrics faults with my Superb
drefaldwyn replied to adamjth's topic in Skoda Superb Mk II (2008-2015)
I've had a quick look at the rubber gaiter on my car but still unsure about the best way to remove it. Seems to be stuck on at door end. Didn't want to use too much force as I want to avoid damaging it. Can you please clarify the best way to remove it? Thanks. -
Rustynuts?
-
It's possible that the wiring in the hinge area between the two "lids" is broken - common problem. This has been covered in various posts in the forum. Hope that helps, Drefaldwyn

Re:- replacement keys, I used this company https://3dautokeys.co.uk/locations/nottingham?gclid=Cj0KCQjwpLfzBRCRARIsAHuj6qWqkB0qVK4Qt0cEi_WpZzbT3iHNXfox3jlad36CdV8-kP6yp9x0N0caAtQvEALw_wcB They operate within a 50 mile radius of Nottingham. I was satisfied with the service. Drefaldwyn -
Looks like DPF trouble!!

I find the the VAG-DPF App jolly useful. You can then keep a constant eye on regens, ash content etc. Drefaldwyn
