  1. IMO and you wont like it you were still very much in the wrong... 19 is alot closer to 30 then 50 is... maybe if you had been more patience you would not have 3 points... now..if the same man had been doing 19 in a 60 or 70 mph speed limit i woudl agree... its more dangerous but 19 in a 30 is not... Joel
  2. seen a few BMW's made in pick up trucks... genius! Joel
  3. I start between 1500 and 2500 rpm.... feed the revs in gradulay but quickly at the same time move through the bite of the clutch....don't even try and get a fast lauch with traction control on..it just takes all the power....you can do it but its a game of chance feed to much to quickly and it says no you dont and takes the power off you... Joel
  4. i am well aware of that as mine too is remapped with lots of other goodies bolted on... and i agree when rolling second can throw up all sorts of traction problems... but for a quick stationary start second just don't cut it... certain amount of clutch bite balence is needed once rolling... but power can be put down harder and quicker but still not dumped... its all about being smooth.. Joel
  5. i agree its albout find the right amount of slip on the clutch too much slip you fry it too little its wheelspinville...im my experence don't even bother with second it just goes messy... even with high revs and dumping the clutch... you just end in a near stall situation looking like a tit... its all about 1st gear traction control off a the right amount of clutch slip.... BTW for the record most of last year was spent drag racing my octy... i feel i have perfected the perfect launch... thanks Joel

  10. Slow day at work so i been thinking of cars and there future....i did not like my thoughts... I feel that anyone with high performance cars shoudl look after them and saver every moment with them as i think there a dying breed. Now there demise may not happen for a decade but eventuly i see cars like the RS, type R, 182, VR6, RS4, M6 these sort of cars leaving the option list at dealerships. As enviromental laws tighten oil supplies run dry, traffic glogs up the roads, speed restriction get tighter and enforced more, what room is there for perfromance cars?? apart from as musem pieces that are more Art then Car made by Ferrari or Lambo for the super rich to buy and keep in storage just to look at a remind them of times past where you were you could drive such magnificant cars. These fast cars we enjoy now are evently going to replaced by tree hugging, box shaped, wouldn't hurt a rabbit if you run over cheap crappy bits of ****e... Joel

  18. Hi all, i have two Intranet sits one is pure HTML (A) this is linked to Access database and using some clever queries and macros i can auto update tables and pages in A's directory over night. Showing yesterdays sales figures, items out of stock etc usally as a one row entry discription and total etc the other is set up in microsft sharepoint ( (sharepoint can support html) and genraly has better look feel naviagation and i want this to be my main site everyone uses. Now i can set up hyperlinks between to the two site so i can link from B to a page in A's directory showing yesterdays sales table. Not what my managers are after though they would like every thing on one page in there own sub sections. BUT! what i woudl idealy like is to have A auto update over night (there is no getting round that A is the main one that has to update it has to stay a 2 Web system) is there some magic code so that when the HTML code is updated in A there a HTML function that B uses to then update....basically having the tables i see in A displayed on a page with out having to use hyperlinks from B to A...?? After writing all that i could just use frames right and display the page in the frames that would dynamic so when on page changes the frame displays the new contents right??? Thanks Joel
  19. could be that your car is just happy now it can breath again so its wagging its tail Joel
  20. complete tosh about thinking carefully before buying and octy coz of how low it is if your standard you may have a problem once in a blue moon but it has to be sizeable incline... i drive a lowered octy and only have problems with one bump in my area but it is a tupid big one that lots of cars ctahc on... plus the only thing that catches is a big plastic lip about a foot back from the front of the bumper... go for the otcy, diesel stinks Joel
