  1. I had a new clutch under warranty for my judder. That is a 55 1.9TDi
  2. I'd like to but you know I think my wife might just have something to say about that
  3. Noticed on my way back to work after I'd been in a meeting that the clock had stopped on the dashboard. I've got an Ambiente so it's just on the dash computer display. The big one in the radio display is fine. No amount of twiddling will sort it:confused: Any ideas? It's very annoying to keep looking at it being 12.03
  4. My first one was brilliant, a 1.9TDi estate. 70k miles with only a lightbulb replaced and that was done under warranty! The current one, I really like the car, it feels a million times better than the Ford equivalent and the Vauxhall too. I couldn't afford a Honda Diesel, and the Avensis was impossible to track down. Too many bad stories about the Passat, and they're really dear, so another Skoda it was. Besides the last one was so good.... This one really feels like a quality car now the clutch has been sorted. I had a new one put on last week, under warranty, then ended up being towed home because the garage hadn't tightened something down properly and it sounded like the gearbox was about to self destruct. Oh the same garage fixed the noisy door seals, but left me with a water leak on the passenger door instead.... It's the dealers letting the product down at the minute, although the story with my family's fords, my wifes nissan and friends various others has been little different. I probably will buy another, if this one continues to impress. I shall just try to find a good dealer that isn't miles and miles away.
  5. Does that milky band go away when you turn the demisters on?
  6. My garage just replaced the clutch. Now the engine is making a right racket when it's fully warmed up, so I rang the garage, they've said ring the AA. I can't wait for getting home time tonight.
  7. My 1.9 is in for exactly the same thing, a new clutch/flywheel is being fitted. I'm hoping they sort the door seals at the same time.
  8. Took my Octy to be serviced at the Rochdale site, it was a shambles. The place was full of angry customers, and the service staff seemed to care not a jot. They didn't ring to say it was ready, and I had to contact them 3 times to find out. A part was needed that 3 weeks later they still haven't go in touch with me about, also the receipt says that they used semi-synthetic oil not the fully synthetic one that is supposed to be in. They claim it is fully synthetic, but how can you tell? They did not sort out the clutch judder or the creaking doors I asked them to look at. But worst still was the fact the car was left 400 yards away from the garage, on a road, unlocked and with the bonnet not properly secured, the release was still stuck out of the grill. I shan't be going there again, and would suggest if you live around Rochdale/Bury you try and find somewhere else. I'm going to try the Manchester site.
  9. I've had that with the steering rack too. It's due a service after christmas so I'll get it checked then.
  10. Just a quick hi from a sometime lurker. I've got the ubiquitous TDi Octavia, but who knows next time I fancy a 4x4
