Theres a huge space to the left of the clutch so theres plenty of room for a footrest. Skoda just choose not to put one there ! I never use footrests in cars anyway, so not a problem to me.

The door on the 3 door are reassuringly heavy and shut with a nice thunk ! They still wouldn't save your paintwork though from careless parkers

If they started forking and rolling the water off the pitch as soon as it rained the pitch would have been playable a bit later as it stopped raining. But NO GROUNDSMAN IN SIGHT !!! Incredible ! Even at Combined Counties League level in Guernsey we roll and fork the pitch to TRY to get the game on ! There was no effort, nothing ! No team of groundsman forking ! No rollers ! Nothing ! They should be fined heavily for not even making an effort to get the game on. Seems like they were trying to postpone the game to November ! To let one of their star players recover from injury !!! I liked the swan diving into the water from the Polish fans who got on the pitch ! Hilarious !

I wouldn't worry about dropped doors on a 3 door Citigo, I had a VW Lupo once ( 3 door ) and the door was probably about the same length as a 3 door Citigos and its never been an issue for Lupos or Seat Arosas. This is VAG build quality remember ! It is easier to get in and out of a 5 door due to shorter door length. But i've been close to a parked car in my 3 Door and got in and out ok. The 3 Door has an egde looks wise for sure but the 5 Door looks great too.

Good idea ! I've had lots of damage in car parks due to other idiots being careless. Kids flinging their doors open is one dent maker ! I always open my kids doors for them to avoid them damaging other peoples cars. People who drive old bangers are a nightmare as well as they don't care about their own car let alone yours !

My Elegance has EP25s. If I go for new alloys next year I'm going to go for something like Toyo T1s. I've had these before on a Corsa, lovely looking and great performing tyre.

A week would be poor customer service but yeah let's give it a week. If they haven't replied in a week I won't be happy ! Another theory, the up!!! Doesn't need a cover ( presumably ) because there isn't a grill as such. So as they are all built at the same factory have they put the cover on some ups!!! Instead of some Citigos by mistake ?

I've emailed Skoda with no response so maybe its time we ALL bombarded Skoda with emails. Maybe more chance of a reply ?

I have a 16gb microSD card in mine and the sound quality is great ! better than having my iPod in the car with leads all about the car ! The Bluetooth works really well with my Blackberry for phone calls. I haven't tried it with music but I don't really need to because I use my MicroSD for music.

Enjoy the car but remember no one knows if that cover is supposed to be there or not yet !

I've found a really annoying thing about the Citigo ! Lack of seat memory on my 3 door ! Grrrrrrrr ! When putting the kids in the back I have to manual adjust BOTH front seats everytime anyone gets in the back because the seat has no 'memory' ! Really fustrating ! A major oversight in my opinion ! But I can forgive the car because I love it so much !

I agree the engine has a lovely sound. It sounds like a bigger sportier engine than it is !

My mates 75ps Greentech hasn't got the cover either. Has anyone who's got a Greentech engine got the cover ? Is it just Greentechs that haven't got the cover ?

If its supposed to be there and we haven't got it there could be long term issues, future electrical problems ? ( Too early to rule out electrical problems ), Rusting ? Alternator Failure ?

This cover issue is getting up there with the Loch Ness Monster and the Yeti for mystery value ! It really is baffling !

I had the same thoughts about the Up!!!! as well ! Like you say theres no grill so no issue. I've tried to find out if Miiiiiiiiii owners are having an issue but there isn't a Miiiiiiiiii section on the Seat forum ! so I'm not sure if theres an issue with the Miiiiiiii or not You would have thought Skoda would have made a statement about this issue by now. Its pretty poor really. Its not much we are asking for is it ! its just should it be there or not ! Simples !

I've just emailed this to Skoda - Dear Sir/Madam, Can you please advise me if the Citigo should have an alternator cover or not. Some Citigos have one some don't, there doesn't appear to be a pattern either. My Elegance 75ps doesn't have an alternator cover but the one in the Skoda showroom does, the S model in the showroom has one. there is great debate on the Briskoda forum whether it should be there or not see link below - http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/251030-possible-design-fault/ Please advise on the issue as it is causing worry among owners. I would appreciate a fast response. I will place the response on the Briskoda Citigo Forum to ease owners worries. Please advise how we should go about getting the alternator cover removed or getting one fitted if it has been missed out in production. This will obviously be a recall either way. Many Thanks Lets see if I get a response.

Mine hasn't got the cover, mines an Elegance 75ps, the Elegance in the showroom has got the cover though ! confusing ! We do need some answers whether it should be there or not ! someone must know for sure !

I don't think 99% of people would know or be bothered that the steering wheel has been changed I think only geeks like us will realise ! lol

This is VW you are talking about ! I guarantee the GTI will be an obscene price !
