Is the 4x4 drivetrain in the L&K true 4x4 or really AWD?

It’s been a very long wait, just over 6 mths from order to factory build so I hope it’s worth it. Dealer expects the car to arrive with them around the end of February. I’m a bit worried after reading about the driver assist software problems on this forum and my enthusiasm has wained a little since ordering but I’ll see how it goes… My Volvo XC40 has been faultless since I bought it in October 2018, only put 27k miles on it. I would have had another but Volvo have really messed the XC40 up IMHO, moved to Android Auto Operating System (AAOS) and I hate all things Android, no two tone colour schemes, no diesel engines, no AWD options, moved to 20” wheels, moved to ‘agency model’ so can’t haggle with a dealer on price anymore. Hence my move back to a Škoda.

Ordered Superb L&K 2.0TDi 4x4 Hatch, options of HUD and rear wiper, 27/07/2024. Built today 27/01/2025, dealer estimates 3 to 4 weeks before it arrives at the dealership…

Can’t help you on that one, I’m waiting on delivery of my new MkIV Superb L&K. Don’t have any experience of the Mk3, I’ve been driving a Volvo for the last 6 years…

You are confusing iV (lowercase i) with IV (capital I). IV is the Roman numeral for 4 so the Superb Mk.IV is the new 2024 Mk4 Superb. The iV is used by Skoda to designate the PHEV versions of various models…

Lucky you! I ordered at the end of July with an estimated delivery time of 12 wks. Latest news from dealer is an estimated factory build week 6 2025 to be confirmed ☹️

No, had 1 call from the dealer since placing the order to confirm that the factory had accepted the order.

I’m still waiting for delivery of my new Superb but I’ve already purchased a couple of accessories for it, a Brodit phone dash mount and a VIOFO A139 Pro front/rear dashcam. I want to purchase a Brotec matte screen protector for the infotainment display but the only one they produce for the new Superb is for a 10” screen, not the 13” L&K one. They do a 13” one for the Kodiaq though. I wonder if anyone who already has their mk4 would be kind enough to measure the height & width of the infotainment screen for me and let me know those dimensions (mm) please? TIA

I was told that the“Skoda Connect” app has been replaced with the new “MySkoda” app. Are you still using the old app?

I finally managed to view and test drive an L&K at the local dealer yesterday. Very nice car. The odd shaped driver display didn’t bother me at all, with the seat and steering wheel positions adjusted to my preference the steering wheel perfectly masked out the sticky-out bits without interfering with the displayed data. I was pleased to find that my iPhone 15 Pro Max complete in its skin case fitted easily into the charging box and charged with no problem. So, I negotiated a deal and placed an order for a Superb L&K 2.0 TDi 4x4 hatch and added the HUD option, they quoted a 12wk lead time…

Anyone know if a 2.0 TSi front wheel drive is in the pipeline?

Followed the Škoda website link to book a test drive. My local dealer got in touch 10mins later with a time and date next week. Great I thought until he sent me a mk3 brochure, I called him back and was told they won’t have a mk4 on site until late April/early May and they will only get 1 so it may be destined for showroom display… 😞
