Future upgrade - Next diesel?
RallySport150 replied to RallySport150's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
Idrove a 330ci m-sport, although it handled well it just didn’t have that torque feel in a straight line -
After researching a few cars I am considering what to upgrade to in the future when I come to selling my vrs, I am looking for something similar to the vrs's torque and feel but faster as stock with good mpg, low insurance and practicality, so here are my final 4 BMW 320d sport 330d sport A3 sport back 2.0 TDI (170ps) Quattro S Line 5d or same in Sport Leon 1.9 TDi FR/Cupra (150ps) which would you recommend?

Vandalism cover/protection with esure
RallySport150 replied to RallySport150's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
what they are saying is you get nc protection ONLY on vandalism antd this comes standard as policy from the policy booklet: If you do not claim during the period of cover, we will give you a no claim discount. The scale we will use is shown in your Schedule. If you do make a claim, your no claim discount will be reduced at the next renewal date. The scale we use to reduce your no claim discount is shown in your Schedule. The following will not affect your no claim discount: • payments made under section 4 (Windscreen damage) • payments for emergency medical treatment fees under section 1 (4) • claims where you were not at fault, as long as we have recovered all that we have paid from those who were responsible. • claims where you are not at fault and those who were responsible were not insured, as long as they are identified. • claims for vandalism, as long as the incident is reported to the police and is assigned a crime reference number and the damage has not been caused by another vehicle. Your no claim discount cannot be transferred to another person or used on more than one policy at the same time. -
Vandalism cover/protection with esure

£800 with £150 excess -
Hi, I have 3yrs no claims and esure are offering me no claims protection only on vandalism, so if someone throws a brick at my car I am no claims protected, anything else and my no claims bonus goes down the pan. Is this worth it? would the protection be for unlimited claims or maybe 2 max? will my premium go up next year if I put in a claim anyway? and by how much? Iv tried contacting esure but they are busy as hell...

same thing happend to my driverside wing, some dipstick though he would use my car to help grind into a parking spot, yours doesnt look as bad, consider yourself lucky to how worser it could have been.

Hi, I need to replace my front wing, getting one primed and sprayed is gonna cost a bomb. What is likelihood of getting replacement front wing from another fabia that will blend in and match the colour of my car? reflex silver, vrs cheers

It seems as though I have a part missing that fits through the rear manual window, after taken the inner panel apart I have discovered a specifically made hole that is made in the bottom of the window. If you have opened yours up you should know what I am talking about, now is there something that goes in this hole so that when you wind the window open it raises the window???

i want to take myn off spray em and put em back on again, what would be ideal to stick em back on?

I'm in the process of colour coding the car and have realised that I can remove the handles for a separate re-spray, i can see the torx screw after removing the black cover from the front handles but cant see anything from the 2 covers for the rear doors? How do u remove the rear door handles? cheers

those holes are tiny, just put a black stick over them or something

Diamondbrite/SupaGuard or 3M Scotchguard? I am planning on treating my vrs seats with either of these two, a few questions first though: Those of you that have used them – how are they holding up to dirt, liquids etc? does it repel easily? Which is easier to apply? I want to do the full interior of my car, which will work out cheaper? Cheers

spray the rubbing strips or remove them?
RallySport150 replied to HellFire's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
If I remove all 4 strips and paint, what the best thing to stick them back on??? cheers -
Knowing all the nutters that are about these days, its very handy to have vandalism cover as part of your insurance. For the people that do have it: what is your typical excess for a claim? does it affect your insurance premium? thanks
