  1. xpower that's a great suggestion! Any chance you can detail the VCDS changes required please? Thank you. Should go pretty well with the Philips X-treme Vision LED Fog Lamps. http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/philips-x-treme-vision-led-fog-lamp
  2. You are probably best finding a VW group retrofit specialist, the nearest in my area is: http://poollretrofits.com/ Although at £550 just for fronts (£670 for front and rear), a bit too dear for me at the moment!
  3. Covert, nice to see another member based in Northants! For those interested in this mod, someone did a write up for a 1.4 Golf 7 which should be very similar for our Octavia. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/342321-mk7-golf-mods-oem-suitable-for-mk3-octavia/
  4. Thanks andyvee for sharing your experience with us, much appreciated!
  5. xpower, would you in all your VCDS wisdom tell the world what channels may need changing for converting from basic rear clusters to LED ones? This question has been raised on several threads before, but the answer has usually been to go compare the adaptations map between cars with basic and LED cluster, and work it out yourself. Unfortunately it's a bit too baffling for me. Your advice is much appreciated.
  6. In case if anyone is interested, the Osram H15 Cool Blue is now available at Powerbulbs with 20% discount. http://www.powerbulbs.com/product/osram-cool-blue-intense-h15-twin
  7. On a recent trip I noticed the car making a short squeak noise just as I move off from stand still, sounds as if the brakes haven't released yet. Anyone else experienced this?
  8. How much lowered is VRS compared to standard? Will they fit all models (mine is 1.4 tsi)?
  9. I can't seem to find the thread in the for sale section, but I'm interested.
  10. I hope they release a Night Breaker Unlimited version too.
  11. Rear clusters bulbs replaceable as listed in owners manual, no repair kit required.
  12. Anyone got the part number for the repair covers?
  13. Considering that changing the front indicators is supposely a front bumper off job, it will be quite a hassle to swap between LHD and RHD headlamps. On a side note since somebody mentioned it earlier, anyone knows what coding is needed to move from basic to LED rear clusters?
  14. The new CrossClimate is suppose to be better than traditional all-seasons, at least from the videos. https://youtu.be/seq765aXTAw - English subtitles available https://youtu.be/IUtfHIxSJNo - promo video Not saying this is better than a summer/winter setup, but seem a decent alternative if for circumstances you can't have 2 sets of tyres.
  15. Tamir0, I have a 1.4 hatch and thinking of doing the same upgrade as you to Golf shocks. Would you kindly confirm if the ones from your ebay link is the right one? Since you have the combi I thought I better check first.
  16. I have Climair ones ordered through Climair UK, the website isn't very up to date so don't have the O3 listed, but can be ordered via a phone call. You can get more information from Climair German site, but it's a bit confusing. Front ones are listed under Estate, same fronts so it's ok. http://www.climair.de/shop/index.php/cat/c281293_Octavia-III-Kombi--Typ-5E--5-door--2013-.html Rear ones are listed under Hatch. http://www.climair.de/shop/index.php/cat/c281399_Octavia-III-Limousine--Typ-5E--4-door--2013-.html Climair is also TUV approved.
  17. Mounted my Scangauge, not as fancy as the Bluetooth ones nowadays but I like it.
  18. It may be worth approaching http://poollretrofits.com/ to see if the front sensors can be retrofitted, they already do this for Golf MK7 so should be very similar for O3. I've bought my O3 used and it only has rear sensors, and I'm looking to have front ones installed later too, so if you use the company above please keep us posted on how you get on.
  19. So you going to tell us where we can get this good deal?
  20. You can find the part numbers from Climair.de. http://www.climair.de/shop/index.php/cat/c281293_Octavia-III-Kombi--Typ-5E--5-door--2013-.html
  21. Eibach offers the following, although I'm not sure how that compares to standard. Independent: http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/eibach-28mm-front-25mm-rear-anti-roll-barsoctavia-5e-12t-si-14t-si-16tdi-18t-si-vrs-20t-si-20tdi-vrs-20tdi-fwd-1112 Torsion beam: http://www.dpmperformance.co.uk/car-parts/skoda/octavia/eibach-28mm-front-25mm-rear-anti-roll-barsoctavia-5e-12t-si-14t-si-16tdi-18t-si-20tdi-fwd-1112
  22. Just reading the page carefully, and it states "† These items will be replaced, if required. This will be determined by the manufacturer's service regime data." If I pay for a service to have those filters changed, I expect to have them changed, not for them to decide whether it's required. Cheeky buggers, it's not like I'll get a refund for the filters they don't use!
