  1. Thanks for the answer. Just had a test drive and was happy with the ride. I'm guessing the 16" wheels helped.
  2. @Fullraceb20. I think you are probably best placed to answer this please. I'm thinking of trading down from a 2.0 tdi Yeti to a '17 1.2 110tsi Monte Carlo estate, and after reading a few reviews online, they mention as a downside, how firm the suspension is. Now having owned the Yeti for almost 4 years and like the comfortable ride but don't need the diesel anymore having just retired, I was wondering just how firm the suspension really is? Is it that firm it is going rattle the last of my teeth out and jigger my back for good? I have not had a test drive yet. TIA
  3. I've not been here for a while so only just spotted this. I'm a bit anal about fuel consumtion and always check brim to brim milage, and can catagorically state that since the mod was done in November 2016, my MPG has dropped to 51 MPG, which is the worst it's been. To put this into perspective, winter an summer consumpion has varied as follows Winter 2014/15 = 54mpg Summer 2015 =61mpg Winter 2015/16 = 55mpg Summer 2016 = 62mpg Winter 2016/17 = 51mpg So following an upward trend, there has been about a 6% drop of over this winter, what summer will bring, who knows. Not that it bothers me, Hetty the Yeti still drives as sweet as nut, with no dicernable difference in performance, so I'm still a happy bunny.
  4. Firefox has sorted it, thanks for your input guys.
  5. When I first got this Windows 7 machine, it had two versions of EI 9, 32 bit which was the default, and 64 bit. However, the 32 bit version never let me click on links on web pages, but the 64 bit version worked perfectly, which I made the default. Last week I upgraded to IE11 and the problem of not being able to click on links has returned. Problem is, this so called upgrade has removed the previous versions and now I'm knackered, especially as I've just gone fibre and I can't click on the link to enable it. This doesn't happen to all links, ones with addresses work ok generally, but ones with just a phrase type link, for example "Enable fibre broadband", will not work. Any clues out there please, specifically for a computer numpty. TIA.
  6. I'm thinking of changing my ISP, hopefully to get a better deal and maybe go fibre. However, the one thing that's stopping me is not knowing if I will loose my current email address when I swop providers. A workmate thinks that I should be able to keep it ( like my telephone number), but he, like me, hasn't changed ISP for years. Just need clarification. TIA.
  7. Just out of interests sake, how do you think that window lost it's one-touch operation?
  8. You, Sir, are a scholar. All sorted now, was the passenger side window. Many, many thanks.
  9. They no longer fold on the keyfob. They work OK on the rotary switch on the driver's door. I was wondering if it is the first sign of the keyfob battery running out???? Any clues please folks? It's only happened this last two days.
  10. This is my nineth year of owning a Skoda, (this is my 3rd), and I remember being told right from the outset, that the cambelt has to be changed every 60,000 miles or 4 years, whichever the sooner. Today I received a card from my dealer telling me the cambelt is due for change. (not for the Yeti but for my last car, a 2010 Fabia Scout.) The interesting thing about this card is, and I quote, "We recommend a change around every five years............." So when did this policy change? I could have saved the cost of two cambelt changes if I known it was five years as both my previous Fabia's were traded in between 4 & 5 years of age. Ever so slightly miffed.
  11. Ha ha, not too many, but it has just happened again. It is a bug apparently, I'll have to have a hunt for a patch. Funny the first time, not so much now.
  12. Had what I thought was an amusing glitch yesterday. Was doing "the Staff train", which is an early morning passenger service from Peterbourough to K/C stopping most stations. Got to Arlesey, opened the doors and waited for them to close again. However they didn't! Went onto the front external camera, and the platform was inundated with passengers, there must have been hundreds of them, all milling around, missing the doors and walking though the side of the train and out again. I waited about 5 minutes before I got bored, but by that time, the platform was absolutely chocca. Ended up having to move the train with the doors open to fail the task and get out of it. I'm going to have another go at it later to see if it does it again. Made me smile.
  13. John, I notice you have mentioned "DLC", being a newbie to this game, I'm in total ignorance of what that is. Could you enlighten me please? Cheers, Trev.
  14. Thank you both, I'll leave well alone, cheers!
  15. Just bought an Asus Nvidia Geforce GT610 graphics card for playing a game (TS2015), and it comes with this "widget" which allows you to overclock the card. Now I know nothing about over clocking, so I was just wondering the merits (or not) of making an adjustment. Please don't use geek speak if you answer 'cos I'm a silver ( well bald actually) surfer, and computers are not exactly my thing. I've managed to fit the card ok, and it works great as far as I can tell, but is set on the default atm. TIA
  16. I've just been bought it for a birthday present, so not cost me anything, however, my on-board graphics couldn't cope very well, so I've had to buy a graphics card. It has improved it no end, and using an Xbox 360 controller, I'm really enjoying it, although never having had a train sim before, I have nothing to compare it with. I'm happy to stick with it for the time being. Even managed to get a gold medal on career for doing Welwyn Garden City to Kings Cross (962 points).
  17. Amstrad CPC464 with a colour screen and built in cassette. It had a half decent word processor and , I recall, some sort of music program.. I let my then 3 year old have play with the music program, and when me and swmbo played back what he'd done, we thought we had a musical prodigy. Sadly, we later discovered what was recorded was quite a few random notes which blended seamlessly into one of the demonstation tunes. 27 years later, he still can't play a note, but he does have an awesome Alienware gaming machine.
  18. Thank you, I'll leave as is then.
  19. Thanks for that, see what you mean, bugga! Never mind, I'll leave well alone then, shame!
  20. Hi DarrellGB, Did you get the new bulbs? Any good?
  21. My Yeti's DRL's look quite feeble compared to almost every other car on the road, and are not the bright white they are, but a sort of yellowish like a 1950's Ford Popular. Has anyone changed their bulbs, and if so, which ones did you get? TIA.
  22. Seen at a local sports centre, black Audi A5 (Coupe I think) with the reg COM84T (COMBAT). Martial Artist maybe, or possibly a military type?
  23. Plenty big enough and ample clearance between it and the throttle pedal. Coming along nicely.
  24. Are these available anywhere (ie Halfrauds)?
  25. Looking good, I'll be watching with a view to ripping your Idea off
