Hi Have you looked at the Farad range? I have a 480L F3 on the top of my VRS on aero bars and it takes up about half the width. The box is very good quality and is dual opening at a good price. They are manufactured in Italy but they delivered to me in 3 days from placing the order. Their web site is www.styleform.eu Hope this helps

Octavia MkII Vrs Hatch Roof bars
TonyD replied to looknohair55's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
Skoda bars are provided by Atera. I have a set of Ateras Aeros (£60 less than the equivalent Skoda bar) on my Octy VRS Estate and am very happy with them. Very little wind noise -
its turn on ignition press and hold reset button for about 3 secs then you will see a spanner with mileage to next service

Mostly agree with the other responders regarding the vRS estate but not really on the harsh ride, not as firm as some other perfomance estates. One area that is a pain is the lack of self leveling rear suspension. It would be interesting to know your shortlist. I had shortlisted the vRS with the Jaguar X type estate (much less space, to pricy and slower!) Volvo V50 (same as Jag and chassis made from blamange) BMW 3 series (do I need to comment?)

I tried the combined rainx/cleaner preparation. Good for side windows but hazing on wiper swip annoying

Hi Just going through this thread as a new member to the group. Purchased my VRS 6 months ago from Rainworth and can only say that I am very impressed with them. This is my first and not last Octy VRS not in small part to the dealership. I asked for them to look for a low mileage 56 plate black magic rs estate with jumbo box. 1 week later they went to coventry to pick one up for me to look at. Absolutely immaculate condition and great price. I have had cars from some very large national dealerships; vauxhall, nissan and have never found the same level of service. As to remapping. Rainworth do REVO and as part of the package honour the skoda warranty. I haven't yet had my care mapped due to cost but will do as soon as I can

" Please allow me to introduce myself ......"
TonyD replied to dirkgrtbrit's topic in Hellos and Goodbyes
Hi Everyone Please bear with me as new to this forum lark! 6 months into 56 plate Octavia VRS II estate and still smile everytime I get in. For info, had a break servo leak and unit replaced by dealership under warranty. It took 4 days for the work to be completed as they had to virtually remove the engine to get at the servo.
