  1. Karl sent me the link to this at the weekend but not watched it as yet! I've been trying to reduce the detailing spend recently.... and FAILED!!! :x
  2. No, not at all - i think your title was clear actually. I dont have much experience on studio lights..... my garage is way too full of crap to attempt that!!! :giggle: So i just shared my thread on other types to consider and temporary useful options. The 50W LED spot lights seem popular in many detailing bays i've visited. Also Costco are doing a decent dual LED "flourecent-style" light unit for roof installs. After that - i'm running out of options for you mate.
  3. Many thanks buddy... Let me try and have a play with them over the next couple of weekends - if time allows.
  4. Nice one - thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you drop the price at some point..... I'll need to try them out - esp if the help with the BMW and VAG paint on the drive... both pretty hard.
  5. Nice once - good choice; should be a nice quality wax for you and your customers
  6. Thanks for the comments guys. Ehhh - tyres yeah.....Not cheap, as i found out! Did i mention i had a bit too much fun the first weekend and wore out the back tyres within 2 days? Oops!!!!
  7. Interesting one..... never had a full studio setup but tried a few different lights. My old garage was already installed with ample lights; but new garage needs some work. Anyway - i documented most of the options i researched on this thread.... http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/312975-detailing-light-sources/ Hopefully there is some useful info inthere - but as always, technology moves on every year...
  8. Agreed - i was in the same position a couple of years back, same issue.... The Gtechniq glass pack with G4 polish and G5 sealant, would be a good purchase to polish and seal ...worked for me
  9. Quite a nice selection of kit for someone there Ben. Can i ask what you thought on the Rupes Polishes? I got them with my 75LHR mini, but havent used them as yet - just stuck with what i use for now.... Interested in your thoughts when you tested them.... thx
  10. Decided to try some Infinity Wax Glass Canopy for the winter wax this year.... insane durability expected. I'll be happy with 4-5 months in reality
  11. Quick wash and winter wax top-up on the Z!
  12. Agreed Karl. He does produce some awesome waxes for shine and gloss; NEMESIS and COSMOS as you mention. Such great results - again very easy to use and the products themselves smell superb, but i've never found one suitable for winter. I keep going back to AP Evolve as my winter wax; but i'm always looking for an alternative!
  13. Detailed Clean - Halloween discount is 7.5% off CODE = HALLOWEEN-16 https://www.detailedclean.co.uk/
  14. Just catching up on some FB updates from the week and see Stevie at BMD has a new wax launch. Launch offer is a limited run for followers of the FB group.... but thought to let you guys know. Anyone needs more info let me know.... i can highly recommend NEMESIS for sure, ATLAS sounds interesting. NEMESIS (Summer/Show) and ATLAS (Winter/endurance) waxes...
  15. Auto Perfection Halloween Sale now live - code added in the discounts section. Just wanted to add on this thread that both the AP waxes are worth a purchase. Evolve Hybrid (Winter) and Intensify (Summer/Show) are highly recommended! 2 of the easiest waxes to use, it has to be said - and absolutely stunning results. http://www.autoperfectioncarcare.co.uk/
  16. Auto Perfection Halloween sale with 30% off and some fantastic free treats as well. Use Code ( vampire2016 ) to receive your discount and free treats when you spend £50 or more after discount. http://www.autoperfectioncarcare.co.uk/
  17. Top job there mate - really stunning results. Plus great to see a good write-up and plenty information there. That is some thick foam - thickest i've seen in some time. Of course thinker isnt necessarily better - whats your thoughts on cleaner power of the foam? Many thanks for taking the time. Cheers, Ste.
  18. Fingers crossed it does buddy..... Not sure how much stock Rich had; but he was posting up on FB yesterday saying he had to start pouring a fresh batch to cope with orders!!!
