[TomTom Sat Nav Splash screens]

Hi All,

Just getting used to my new vRS and wiring up the TomTom etc. Was wondering if anyone had suitable splash screens to share with vRS Logo, Briskoda Logo and/or any nice combinations?

Yet another vote for TomTom 720. I have the traffic version, but don't really make use of it. Check compatibility with your mobile - cause the Bluetooth handsfree connection is useful - although you need to stick with TomTom voice packs for texts to be read out etc. No issues with it and used it to go down to France at Xmas and didn't miss a beat. In saying that - it sometimes struggles to get me round Bradford! Doh!

I just got my Octavia vRS from Wings. Justin was great and pricing was clear and well discounted. Colette on Admin was good at keeping me uptodate and talking through the process. Mark in the Service area has been helpful too with any queries.

No issues, very impressed and a great car. I would use them again for sure.

I know this may have already been done to death - but excuse a newby!

I'm looking to be kind to my new-08 plate vRS Octavia and am looking to select a detailing clay and wax combination. Found an interesting article on DT Concours.

DT Concours wax, the best and easiest carnauba car wax i´ve ever used. : (mykp.co.uk)

Any thoughts - good or bad?

[MPG - TFSI vs TDI (170bhp)]

For what it's worth folks - i just got my TFSI vRS last week and on long motorway runs (using cruise ~50%) i'm seeing 36-37mpg typical for the first 3 tanks of fuel (air con on as as well - to keep the little lady happy!) ;-). Hopefully this will improve when run-in but i've changed from a Passat TDI 4motion (45-48mpg) and am enjoying the drive more than the economy for the most part.

Hi All - just took delivery of my new Octavia vRS 2.0TFSI last weekend. Looking forward to many miles of good fun and thus far have not been disappointed. I've been following the Briskoda forum all the way through my decision to buy Skoda for the first time - great articles, great members and a great community.

Yep - Autosol works for me too - perfect. I think Halford's stock an Auto Glym style equivalent metal polish - but i haven't tried it.

Hi Matt - sounds like a good deal. I recently ordered via Broadspeed myself and got a very good first quote and the dealer i've been in touch with directly since - all good thus far - except the factory waiting time! Only 4 weeks to go.... then i get my Race Blue vRS!
