  1. This is the exact reason I do not post on this forum very often anymore. It is going down completely the wrong direction and I have to say I am getting fed up with it. If it carries on much longer, my Briskoda stickers are coming off and going in the bin! Posts like this load of rubbish certainly don't help things!! This is a forum for Skoda owners. That includes the Fabia in all it's variants. I can't believe things have got to this point. It is the reason I haven't signed up to be a Freedom member and I haven't been to any meets or events recently and most likely won't be in the future. I really do hope that things improve soon as this used to be a very good community of people who enjoyed meeting up for a chat and drive about. All that has been lost though and I don't think it will ever get back to what it used to be. I hope to be proven wrong, but until then, I will remain to be an occasional poster.
  2. I have seen a Fabia on here with Audi A8 replica wheels in 17". I thought they looked quite good aswell.
  3. Rossi is indeed an outstanding talent and is one of the best riders ever. He went from Honda to Yamaha to prove it isn't just the bike and is still dominating! That to me shows just how good he is. Joey Dunlop was also indeed a legend. There will never again be someone quite that good at road racing. 26 race wins at the IOM takes some doing and to win his last race in 2000 on the SP1 at the ripe old age of 48 was amazing to see. Was such a loss to the sport that he died later that year. There have been 2 names missed out so far though. Carl Fogarty, who is the greatest superbike rider of recent years and Steve Hislop. Both were magnificent around the IOM and I was lucky enough to be there the year Hizzy won on a Norton. Also a couple of years ago Hizzy was the fastest man to lap the Donnington race circuit. Even faster than Rossi who was on the Honda GP bike at the time when Hizzy was on a Ducati 998. Again, another sad loss for the biking world.
  4. Vehicle Technician here. Good name for a good old grease monkey.
  5. Agreed with 20VLIL here. I haven't tried Swissol yet and at the minute can't realy afford to, but Meguairs gives fantastic results for the money. It is much better than Autoglym as that is what I used to use before trying Meguairs. If you are on a budget, then I would certainly suggest Meguairs. I use the clay bar with Gold class shampoo and NXT wax. All good stuff.
  6. If it is a new shape Celica with VVT-i, then you may have just got away with it. They don't like being low on oil very much and have known a few to throw a tantrum. If it is a Celica with the 190bhp VVTL-i engine, then so long as it was kept below the 6k lift point, you should be ok. So long as the engine isn't rattling at all, you should be fine. If it does rattle, then it may well have been fatal. I hope for your sake you caught it in time mate.
  7. Not yet. 30k on a 180 brake remap and still on the original clutch.
  8. I shall let you all know what I think when I get my hands on one. If the T-Sport is anything to go by, I won't be expecting too much. I am pretty sure my Fabia will be safe to stay with me a bit longer.
  9. The yellow Furby would be me. Sorry I wasn't around. Was off bargain hunting. That gorgeous red Mk1 Golf won the Show and Shine on Saturday and as it won best in show was automatically entered for the concours event on Sunday. He hid his trophy and ribbon though as he didn't think it was really good enough! I know of the owner through a good friend of mine. Alot of work has gone into it to get it to the stage it's at now.
  10. Sorry mate. Didn't see your post up there! :( Was a bit tired when I got in on saturday and was just breezing through.
  11. Didn't get a chance to in the end. They did have some nice looking shiny bits on the stand though.
  12. I got a missus like that too!! It's great to a point, but if I wasn't with her, I wouldn't have spent half as much money on the car as I have done!!
  13. I shall try and get it sorted for tomorrow. It was actually the only picture I took as i left the camera in the car after that. Every time I took it out, it started to blooming rain!
  14. and very very low!! Have to admit that is one very sweet looking Fabia.
  15. 10 out of 10 for hitting that white section of the tyre wall. Almost as if he planned it and that was his target!
  16. Think that was Josh. I was on a SEAT stand a bit further down.
  17. Have they brought a new petrol vRS out that we don't know about then?
  18. I think you have a problem with your cat Dave. Your engine light is on.
  19. Might have to have a word with Forge tomorrow when I'm at Inters.
  20. Mine doesn't even sound like that with a Milltek fitted!! I want want that one has.
  21. Hello Paul. Fancy seeing you over here.
  22. I just got back from my first day there. Gonna be going again tomorrow, so look out for a bright yellow Furby.
  23. It is a real shame as BAR had seemed to turn the corner and finally get their act together.
