Changing xenon bulbs to LED
Paikesejanku replied to Gabrielem's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Headlights are sealed, and even the bulbs have fans, it won't get fresh air into the light. How hot does it get when you have been using the lights at night? Have you checked the temperatures? I am thinking LED replacement but I am worried about high temperature related problems. -
Changing xenon bulbs to LED
Paikesejanku replied to Gabrielem's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
How hot those LEDs are and how is the cooling solved (usually very bright leds have fans). Was it plug and play (original plug from ballast) or did you need to do additional wiring? -
Changing xenon bulbs to LED
Paikesejanku replied to Gabrielem's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
It's about finding balance between main and full beam , using mechanical adjustment. Because they are bi-xenon(led in your installation), they share same optics. If you have long vision with main beams your full beams light pattern will be to high to light the road surface. If you adjust full beam to light the road, you lose visibility with main beams. I see that you gained light power with LED. -
Playing music from external source
Paikesejanku replied to ChrisRJ's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I would go with USB stick option, you'll get better sound quality than streaming over Bluetooth. -
In case you used ACC at the same time, then it shows car siluettes when it detects cars in front of you. It comes and goes, no extra warning.

Tyre/Road Noise advice
Paikesejanku replied to DavidGee's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
@MartinBHow do Soundcomfort tyres handle rough asphalt noise? In Estonia rough asphalt is very common. -
Tried those NATGIC 2NG1210-H8-W LEDs and changed back to Osram Cool Blue H8 halogens. LEDs looked brighter when observ them from outside of the car, but light distribution was better with Halogens when sitting behind the wheel. This is probably because halogens light the reflector better. So if you want your car look cool, go with LEDs, if you need better light distribution on the road, choose good halogens.

So it is impossible to have 2-in-1 late DRL/Xenon switching and fast automatic High Beam on? -
Kessy Passenger door not working
Paikesejanku replied to AlanBaker's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
I had similar problems with my passanger door kessy (door did not open, locking started rapidly clicking when tired to lock the door etc). It usually happened in humid weather and the solution was new door handle. -

Rear speakers in essence are not clear, try to move balance rear and find out what you get -
Superb MK3 Headlight Distance
Paikesejanku replied to Bimboveloce's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
So put them to default, then they should cover the distance as it meant to be. I adjusted my lights and nobody is complaining about blinding. -
Superb MK3 Headlight Distance
Paikesejanku replied to Bimboveloce's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
You can adjust light height manually to improve range. There are screws on top of the lights. Beware, if you set main beams too high your high lights will show up to sky. Find the balance. -
FYI, headunit supports FLAC, in case better quality is desired.

Hi next step is to insulate tyres. All major tyre brands have silent version of tyres: https://www.goodyear.eu/en_gb/consumer/why-goodyear/soundcomfort-technology.html https://www.continental-tires.com/car/tires/continental-tire-technologies/contisilent https://www.pirelli.com/tyres/en-ww/car/tech-and-knowledge/pncs https://www.michelinman.com/auto/why-michelin/technological-innovations/acoustic-technology or DIY, here is an example from Estonia, to get the idea: https://foorum.vwklubi.eu/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=157346

Superb estate MY16, weird memory seat behaviour
Paikesejanku replied to bubib5's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
Mine does it too, I have not found any fix for it. MY17 model. I like to set my seat as low as possible, but it does not store the position, always rises the seat. -
The system will apply same EQ and SUB level for every input (this is one con of the HU). Only surround can be different. I have noticed that radio has less bass, best sound will come from SD/USB, Bluetooth is in the middle and is dependent of source sound settings. Different car user profiles can have their own sound settings.

It is what it is, better than nothing.

I believe that those paper speakers are far more capable, especially in the back doors.
-
I believe that one reason why Canton lack them might be the filters in the Canton amp. If there would be an option to play around with frequency filters, the outcome would be much better.

In my setup, I have plenty of mid-range. Mine lacks mid-bass.
