  4. Yeah came as a bit of bugger will let you know how I get on, just wanting something that will drop in which the hybrid pd130 will but get little better power at same without breaking the bank. I have to say thanks to John (Fabooka) he knows his ****. It's likely a hybrid pd130 which is based on a pd170 internals will make 5 to 10 bhp more than a remapped pd150 so with a bit of luck touch 200 bhp which ain't bad for the price, the problem is now they can make more torque say 20-30 lb ft more than a well tuned pd130 setup so would be nice to take advantage of that extra little bit of torque, hence question of keeping dmf but putting different clutch plate in etc. Can't complain with turbo for the price though.   5. So looks like my turbo decided to **** itself didn't think it would happen to me but never mind. It's a bit bad timing and to keep costs down I'm going to go with an Xman pd130 hybrid with pd170 internals. Has anyone dynod a pd170 on 1.9? I have the standard clutch setup and looking to take advantage of more torque and keep costs down, can you retain the DMF but put a slightly better clutch plate in? Or will it destroy the DMF. Torque was around the 300 lb ft mark, and will likely raise to 320/330 lb ft so don't see the point in going for a big power clutch kit. Cheers

  7. Well I changed it for an improvement of course, I read gear changes would be better etc and smoother acceleration? I must admit I've only gone up the road.

  10. Yeah, at the end of the day IAT logs with vcds would prove/improve this. The 1756vk puts a little more power out.

  13. Loads of threads mate and I can't comment Yet, depending on the shore rating gear changing and acceleration will improve well move the feel of it as it reduces engine movement however as a downside you will get increased cabin Vibrations and some folk can't stand it.

  16. Yes because I'm not going hybrid anymore, one person said that but a guy at work I've become friends with runs a similar one and it holds up fine with a dark side turbo kit (1756vk), I just think it's forge not liking competition etc.
  17. Hi just about finished fitting a txautosports fmic in the past, it seems a bit of a bodge! Lol. Got a few questions if you could please. 1 is it normal for the bottom pipe to go diagonal from the intercooler to the bottom turbo boost pipe? It isn't symmetrical. 2. Did you need the horns out of the way or competition relocate them? 3. Did you have trim any off the bumper inside? Seems mine is fouling a plastic sort of guide where the guide for smic used to be. 4. Did you notice anymore lag or better performance (probably only at top end) ? I'm remapped. Thanks
  18. So mine isn't pointing to the front like in the pic, the fella I bought it off said awesome GTI fitted it like that. Does it matter? Cheers

  21. Hi, Were the fronts just a direct bolt in, ie remove old seats complete with sliders/mounts and fit these? And also how were the rears fitted? Just wondering, how they were fitted? Cheers
