  1. Unfortunately I have the same problem in my wife's Fabia. I have checked the floor mats, boot, and spare wheel area and all are perfectly dry. I would be interested to know why there is some much condensation on the windows as well.
  2. Would you be going for the 95 or 110 bhp? I would imagine that the latter would have plenty of power. My wife has the 60bhp Mpi Fabia and that is underpowered for what you are looking for. My octavia will be going back next month at the end of it's contract, so we will hope to change my wife's Fabia as soon as the pcp plan allows, as we are going to just have one car.
  3. I'm in a similar position with my PCH deal ending in January, so I might get a settlement figure, just for curiosity as I'm about to move house and the Octavia will be too big for the new garage. There are quite a few Octavia similar to mine for sale so I will be able to make a comparison.
  4. It was nearly 3 years ago when I last changed my car under PCH so it does look like VWFS have changed their terms. When looking at PCP Vs PCH, it's worth remembering that you do not pay vehicle excise licence with PCH, ......... every little helps.
  5. I don't think that you can buy the vehicle if you have had the pch in your name, however a family member can purchase it. I'm not sure how strict VWFS are regarding this, as they did seem to imply that there are ways around this when my last pch agreement ended!
  6. It looks as Silbury have now been taken over by Pulman . It's unfortunate as it was good to have two small independent Skoda dealers in the area, but Pulman do seem to have a good reputation, so we'll see how things go.
  7. Sorry to see that you are leaving, your comments always provoked, erm.............discussion 😉 Best wishes for the future.
  8. You could almost use that photo as a Christmas card design 🙂
  9. The Fabia and Octavia do the same to get the wipers into the maintenance position.
  10. Shy-will this be a replacement or rejection? What are you looking at as a replacement?
  11. Looking forward to seeing your review of the new car in due course. How did it compare price wise with a similar Octavia?
  12. If it's in Cumbria, it may be Telfords from Carlisle.
  13. Interesting re the mileage, I wonder when it 'lost' 8000 miles!! Exeterj when was it last serviced?
  14. My wife has just picked up her new Fabia from Silbury. Purchase was painless, I did my research beforehand and took my results into the garage, I left them with Sean while my wife and I took a Fabia out for a test drive, when we got back, after a bit of discussion Silbury matched the deals I had brought in, but added in a couple of extras. We had the usual excellent service from Sean, and it's nice when Terry (the owner) pops over to have a word with you. I had a chat with the service department to arrange their free swopping of winter to summer wheels on my Octavia. Great service.
  15. After 3 1/2 years the pcp has finished on my wife's Citigo and we have gone for something a bit larger, a Fabia. The Citigo was a fun little car, great on the country roads around us, and could hold its own on the A roads as well. Were it not for needing some extra space we would have had another Citigo. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a small affordable car. Great service as usual from Silbury Skoda.
  16. Thanks for that, I see that there is only one live F1 (British GP) race on terrestrial tv this season so I'll having a look at that list.
  17. You obviously haven't been to Northumbria Police area, the only chance we are double crewed is nightshift, unless you are referring to the ARV's.
  18. That's good news in the end. I agree that you should not sign until the work has been done to your satisfaction. I would ask for something in writing from the company outlining what was discussed/agreed in your meeting with the manager.
  19. In that case ask them when it was first registered. I appreciate that they will not hold the V5, but they should still be able to tell you when it was registered. Or, if you get the VRM I'm sure that it can be entered into some search engine on the internet to see when it was registered. Which dealer is it, has it appeared on any of their adverts?
  20. Has it been registered yet? And yes I would get photos asap before they remove them. If your car has just landed at the dealership I would ask to see some evidence of this, if everything is legit the dealer should have no problems doing this.
  21. Have you got photos of it in its stickered up condition, and what mileage is on it now?
  22. I have an Octavia 1.5tsi se technology and had the issue with excess revs when the clutch was released, this was sorted with a software update. There are a couple of threads on the Octavia MK3 forum ,-Engine revs without foot on accelarator and Octavia nose dives on pullaway.
  23. Be aware that the Octavia 1.5tsi has similar issues!!
