  1. Hi there, Will be taking a trip to my nearest dealer shortly so I was hoping somebody could confirm that the following part numbers are still valid so I don't have to explain to them what everything is PD160 Intake 6LL 129 621 (Trumpet) 6LL 129 618 (Pipe) Front Strut Brace (6L0 071 710) Seat Cupra Console bushes - Part No 6LL407183 1 Tube VW Special lube for fitting Console bush - Part No G 294 421 A1 6No Bolts for Balljoints - Part No N10127707 (VW Part No) 2No Bolts for Front Wishbone Bush - Part No N10141801 (VW Part No) Cheers, John
  2. Looks about the same price Andy JBS can do a de-cat/non-res system delivered for £370 inc vat.
  3. JBS are currently doing 25% off Milltek systems on uk-mkivs.net at the moment so I was going to buy myself one. I'm just having difficulty choosing resonated or not. I've seen the videos on youtube of the various different types but it doesn't say whether they are resonated or not. I was planning on going de-cat/non-resonated but I really don't want it to drone! Any ideas? Cheers, John
  4. A bit more info please dude, what kit is it?
  5. I've been hearing the Powerflex ones wear out quickly, that cant be right can it? Am I based just getting the Cupra equivalent for each?
  6. Ok I'll leave the rear beam bushes then. Seat Cupra Console Bushes x2 - 6LL407183 As for the above, are these the same as the solid wishbone bush rear pair that Jabba offer? You'll have to excuse my lack of suspension knowledge
  7. Cheers guys, so if I order the following will that cover everything? Front Wishbone Front Bush x2 - PFF85-601 - £38.66 Seat Cupra Console Bushes x2 - 6LL407183 - £xxx.xx (Are these the same as the solid wishbone bush rear pair that Jabba offer?) Front Anti Roll Bar Bush x2 - PFF85-603-19 - £33.48 Rear Beam Mounting Bush x2 - PFR85-415 - £61.92 According to the Powerflex diagram those are all the bushes that can be replaced. Also the Jabba ARB comes with poly bushes so that's covered. Edit, While I'm at it, are there engine mounts or dog-bone mounts that need uprated as well or have I covered everything? Sorry for all the questions, just want to get it right first time Thanks
  8. I've read the standard bushes are prone to wearing so was just going to polybush it all round. Looking at Powerflex's page there doesn't seem as many bushes as I thought. Do the ones on this page cover all the ones that are prone to failing? How thick is the standard front ARB as it lists 3 different sizes there. Cheers, John
  9. Glad to hear it. I'll probably just gradually order the bits over the next month and fit them all in one go. I want to get used to the car in standard form first before I start playing around with it. Am I right not to bother with upgrading the front ARB and fitting a front lower strut brace? What Koni shocks and Eibach springs does everybody use? It looks like a 4x4 just now hehe Thanks
  10. Right here it goes. I didn't spend the money improving the handling on my Golf, so suspension/chassis will be the first thing that gets looked at with the Fabia. If an expert could double check everything that would be much appreciated. Brakes - Audi TT 312mm Setup from fabia-vrs.com - The Comprehensive Fabia vRS Resource Site Front Upper Strut - Seat Brace - Part No = 6L0071710 Front Lower Strut - Is there one available? I know the S3 one fits a Golf MK4 for example. Front ARB - From what I've read seems more than adequate when left standard. Rear ARB - Jabbasport Rear ARB Bushes - While I'm giving the suspension an overhaul I've read the bushes are prone to wearing quite quickly. Is it worth poly/cupra bushing the whole car or just selective areas? Suspension - I will be keeping it on it's standard alloys just now so aside from having a great handling car, I want a drop that doesn't make it look like a tractor. Would the Koni/Eibach setup give enough of a drop on 16's? I can't find any pictures of such a setup so apologies for asking again. And I think that should be enough to improve the ride :P Thanks, John
  11. I think I spotted the AP set on Awesome. What springs are used in this awesome eibach setup everyone mentions? Where does everybody buy it from as well?
  12. Absolutely! Already PM'd Steve about an Audi TT brake setup so will probably order that tomorrow along with a Jabba Rear ARB. Then I'll just have to decide on what suspension set up to go for
  13. I'll just sell them. More money to play with the Fabia. Lord knows I won't be spending it on fuel any more
  14. I had a search on the forum but there was only one person suggesting they won't fit. It's just I have a set of MK4 Recaros from a 5dr lying around so was wondering if they would fit. Cheers
  15. Well I went out test driving Golf's yesterday, and in a local garage they had just taken a Black 54 plate vRS in with 53K on the clock and 2 previous owners. No cruise or xenons but after driving it I just put a deposit down on it! I had no intention of buying a Fabia but the way it just turned up seemed like it was meant to be seen as they are like rocking horse poo up here! I do have an anti-glare HID kit (HIDS4U) lying around though and cruise can always be retrofitted so I'm happy. Acceleration seems so effortless! Even got 47mpg on a spirited test drive! Should hopefully pick her up Monday so pics to follow then
  16. Hi Carolyn, Thanks for sorting that out. Cheers, John
  17. Hi Caz, Would you be able to refund my £10.50? Thanks, John
  18. I notice whiteline sell an anti-lift kit for golfs and they are really popular amongst the scooby lot. Perhaps they do one for the fabia as well?
  19. Sorry for the slight hi-jack but do front arbs help at all? I know the golf lot normally get 25mm rear and 23mm front, on here people seem to just get the 25mm rear...
  20. I thought the ECU didn't need to be removed on newer models? Unless it's a stupid resistor in a box he's sneakily fitted. Got any names?
