You just get used to the power unfortunately. When I replaced my Golf 1.6 with a vRS I was amazed at the difference in speed. Now I have a slight craving for more power!

I ordered some 215/40/R16 Proxy T1-R's in the end. Hopefully get them in a couple of days. Came in at £229 delivered from Camskill.

That does make it a bit cheaper actually, about £25. I take it you don't have to be TOO strict with regards to width? I was just assuming because the tyres that came with it were 205's that I should stick with them.

Thanks, I did check out Black Circles although they were a bit more expensive. They do say on their website they might price match so I may give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. I never take part in track days and just use the car for commuting and the odd spirited weekend blast

I reckon the above seat cover in pure black could look not bad! Group buy perhaps?

I'm also tempted by getting an anthracite refurb, not sure how well it would go with black.
