  1. Great Pics. As a little un i was driven past this place twice a year on our way to grandparents house. Was always promised we would call in next time, but it never happened. Lots of detail shown but never seen when on the road.I must make the time soon to go and visit. Thanks for reminding me of it.
  2. Good photos there. Very atmospheric. Black and white always seems to suit this subject.
  3. Lovely Photos, where were this lot taken, i'm off up to Scotland next week. First two very impressive.
  4. I = P/V P = V x I V = P/I P = Watts I = Amps V = Volts Hope i remembered them correctly it,s been 40 years since i used them.
  5. Why would the driver of this vehicle need to walk across the top of his load, he has a a purpose built safety net installed. He just never used it! I work close to a transfer station and every vehicle must have his net over the load before he is allowed to leave, this doesn't stop some of the small, light litter flying off though.
  6. From Spean Bridge I managed to get up to Durness and Tongue and all the way back in an easy days driving, but beware the cost of fuel up top, 137.9ppl!!!! for diesel and 131.9 for petrol!!!! Beautiful scenery through Sutherland. The Knocken Crags very spectacular on a gloriously sunny day.
  7. Nice Vid!! Did the run this way over the bank holiday weekend. Pity it doesn't show how steep the first part of your run is. Certainly warms up the brakes if you push it. Love to know your set-up for the vid. Would like to do a tour of Scotland like that. Some beautiful runs around there, and loads of challenging roads. Pity the tourists drive so slow, i now drive round there like a local, but not like a nutter.
  8. Having left Portree late one Sunday night for the run to my hotel 90 miles away a pothole split the sidewall. Nearest replacement tyre at Fort William 107 miles away. I always carry a spare.
  9. Well done sir! It would be a bonus if they crushed his car as well as send him down.
  10. Looks like a stove enamelled Hammerite paint job!
  11. Some detailers have all the luck. Has Baker21 seen this thread yet? Some beautiful places to work in and some awesome motors too.
  12. IIRC it is the radio station that transmits a coded signal to change your radio to the appropriate station to receive a traffic report. Another transmission of this code sets the radio back to normal. Many times a radio station hits this code by mistake or forgets to send the finish signal at the end of the report. Any station within range will set your radio to TP and more often than not the report is usually not relevant to the traveller. This is why I never bother with TP unless I’m stuck in a huge jam and want to find out how long I will be there.
  13. Those are really good. Love the beading on the ladybird and the wing wiper.
  14. More off the windows really, but this one was unexpected, i couldn't tell what i was shooting at the time.
  15. 1.9 Tdi (105) In black (all over)(when it's clean)(it's not at the moment i've just got back from Scotland again)
  16. I've ordered mine, will collect it tuesday. Lots of reviews out there about how much better it is. Faster , less space needed(about 7 GB), full 64 bit, all sorts of behind the scenes upgrades (this is where most of the work has been done) which is why it's more of an upgrade than a new operating system per say. As for reviewing photos or any other file for that matter, quick look works very well, all you do is tap the space bar and up pops your file or picture.
  17. Not 5.2 cu m, but 0.19 cu m per day, 42 gallons in old money. It's still a lot!
  18. Try here for some good reviews CAMBAGS.COM Camera Bag Review Resource for DSLR Cameras
  19. Just to rub it in, are there not another three or is it four other petrol stations before the one at Invergarry. I love to do this in Scotland, there's to much traffic down here. My best yet.
  20. Swedish has got it right. A little of the good stuff always helps. Nice and smooth.
