  1. Removed mine today prior to selling car and put the MIB1 Bolero back in and DEAD! Screen dead rest works touch screen buttons etc just screen. Frigging video cable from glovebox to screen open circuit on VCDS and I don't have time to source a replacement. Seems to be £60 odd on Skoda parts for the cable and only a couple on eBay from Poland and Lithuania. Looks like for the sake of that one stupid 4 pin git I am going to have to put the android one back in now (FML WHAT A BALL ACHE)
  2. On any of the options on home screen touch and hold the item like radio etc and it will let you do everything there, rename, which icon, which app its for etc I added one for DAB on mine so I have that and FM
  3. No as I said mine is totally different, see video in first post on thread. No option to update anywhere, OTA or from storage etc. Thing is, I have had none of the niggles you've all had, everything has just worked so not sure I should try and flash it.
  4. You lot all have a much different newer looking version of the software than I got. I don't even think i've seen anywhere to check for an update on it, perhaps for the best. Have you a pic of the drive mode screen that comes up? Mine brings up screen with the 3 modes and a box under it saying 'change' I think and I must press that change button to cycle through the modes themselves not touch the actual mode square. I never found a way to edit my individual drive mode on the head unit, but already had it set beforehand so works fine for me in that way (all in sport but with headlight bending voodoo off etc). ps. could be worse, could be in Welsh!
  5. Does state in the advert and most other ones I've seen that they are specifically not for Canton, so they are aware of it at least. I don't think it will be possible to get one as the market would be too small for them to bother with making one for fibre optic setup like the Canton has sadly.
  6. Just watch the installation video linked in the thread a few times. If you think you can handle that, that's about all there is too it. The rest is just us playing about beyond the standard plug n play setup.
  7. Reading through the What3Words allocations, I seem to have the most bad ass spot in the forest lol
  8. These more recent ones all have a vastly different much more modern looking ROM than mine lol
  9. Just catching up here. Merry Christmas Nicky & all the android gang, I hope Santa was kind.
  10. At time I ordered mine, the listing had it as an option that you had to pay more for. Said email them for it, so I did and then they asked for payment, so I declined. It would have been delivered via email, so some random China hacked APK must be about somewhere for it.
  11. Just ask them to send you their ROM and it would be good to have as a backup for all.
  12. When sygic is speaking to you adjust volume at same time and you should be able to set it that way for handiness.
  13. Mines totally different, the same as in the install video. Golf 7 MQB mines set to. Doors opened wrong for me as a RHD car and was able to change in there too to swap them around as drivers door module being on right not left etc.
  14. 9V on cranking is still way too low, battery is not long for this earth. Tend to leave you stranded with little warning. VARTA AGM one here too, I wouldn't want to be heading into the colder part of year if it's dipping so low! If you use stop/start your battery could be sitting at a fairly low point of charge also if not driven on longer runs regularly, doesn't take much traffic even when fully charged for it to drop right down then just about keep its head above water. I disabled stop/start and put a new battery in as my commute is only 7 miles.
  15. Saw the slots in the install vid one which was 2gb/32gb, but my one has none.
  16. Mine just pulls out again easily gripped from bottom. Does click into place when pressing in, but can just pop back out if pulled.
  17. Inside Mahon it was like a movie set for Fast N Furious, the roads seemed lined with all their interceptor fleet when they first started it and seemed to have at least 2 of every nice car at the time.
