  1. I can't really use it for reversing, never have in the past and forget its there, but before fitted it just gave the blank screen with no signal looking for it with the small car diagram for the reversing sensors over it and it upset my OCD.
  2. Forgot to post my dynamic indicators before too £16.50 all in.
  3. Forgot to add the last bits I did to this, got a rear boot handle camera thingy off AliExpress for £24.98 all in and put it in so that when I select reverse I see more now and has the dynamic lines etc. I think it finishes it off well.
  4. I got a new set of drivers door window switches for mine on there for under £4 feel better quality than the factory ones replaced (drivers window switch wasn't doing auto down anymore common fault).
  5. If stuck: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000216402701.html
  6. Another bog standard one, just looking back its taken me since early Jan to do 2000 miles
  7. Just remembered I had to pop these on too, so done there now. Stock fresh Skoda ones replaced the manky flaky Skoda ones that were on there at wheel refurb time, those have started to turn too, so vRS ones worth a try. Now finished (maybe).
  8. I don't really see the point in the camera at all, I just wanted it because it was so cheap and finishes off the AliExpress set. Before I'd just get this when putting it in reverse.... https://youtu.be/JgGEaJTfKnw
  9. The dynamic guide lines in action:
  10. Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary and as such today finally having a day off I got around to the last wee bits I wanted to do and thus completing my 'To Do' list for now. Reversing camera fitted (£24.98 AliExpress boot handle one rude not to) Fuel filler flap actuator changed for the revised one (dealer sources part as factory one starting to fail) drivers door switch pack changed (drivers window one wasn't doing auto anymore but £8.34 on AliExpress later it now is)
  11. AliExpress gloss black front splitter is the latest addition to Slimer.
  12. Getting 44.4MPG required damaging the environment as per here:
  13. Every time I have tried to log into ecologi it mugs me off, I've tried forgotten password route and it says check you email, but never comes.
  14. @16fra Welcome Are there many Skoda's in Italy now, or is it a less common car on the roads? I've not been in several years, but never used too see as many on the roads as other European countries.
  15. That's actually the first one I saw when I was looking online and lead me to the android one I have. I loved the idea in principle, not for my tiny 6.5" MIB1 though! I posted it all over the fb groups at the time to see if someone would give it a shot, but no one seemed interested in it. Main reasons I'd go for full android replacement over that are: You don't loose any original features with a full android replacement (you gain many many more). Likes of MIB1 with tiny 6.5" crap quality dull screen would be a waste in general (inc the 8" in the video). The newer glossy ones you'd still spend more for less functionality. It's 30% more expensive for something under half the spec of the likes of the one I got and you end up with a smaller screen no matter what screen you start with. Fitment in a RHD is much more awkward than like a LHD in the video annoyingly.
  16. The lower specc'd versions of the same form factor as mine are as low as £75 odd on aliexpress 2gb/32gb ones on android 10. Do you have a picture of it or any of the menus on screen etc?
  17. Was at work yesterday and realised I had missed 12345.6km's, then at the end of a break I finally got around to changing to miles etc and setting up dash how I wanted it and by pure chance when stopped later on, I glanced down and BOOM!
  18. These units are the same used in easily 1000 different models of cars supply is only a specific facia around it along with the wiring adaptors to meet model specified in listing / ordered. The canbus module doesn't always come set specifically for one model and must be selected by person upon installation (I think it details that in the listing), the code to enter the menu for this is '8888' on every one I have seen of this form factor sharing the same base software (and most of the older shaped models). It's essentially a heavily modified tablet or more so a modified large rectangular mobile phone due to it's designation (which is much handier than a tablet for certain apps compatibility). For me specifically I select the correct VAG platform and then it will work 95% correctly until I go into its settings to specifically make it aware that I am in a RHD vehicle and set my region specific preferences for units of measure and a boot logo etc.
  19. Because they are all the same, no hardware or FW differences in them, the same companies will sell the same item under 50 different names to saturate the market. JunSun = 30% higher price for same item and is a brand name they use a lot on the likes of EU Ebay sites. The specific one I went for was reviewed well inc for specifically the Mk3 Octy so sod paying extra when it's purely a punt to see what its like lol.
  20. Also as a wildcard quickie, worth a check of all 4 tyres for uneven wear, not uncommon for Mk2 Octy's to eat one side of the tyres especially on insides at the back 'saw toothing' etc.
