Two years and 51 weeks my Varta battery packed up without .warning. As mentioned only one week left for warrantly. As you have to pay to return it Idid not do it.. So bought another with 5 year warranty £105.. Strange that original one lasted 9 years.

For some years now after using the car that the fans or whatever it is runs for quite a while, sometimes people have said the engine is still running. I did post this on the forum and it was said it is regenerating.Yesterday my neighbour said its the electric fans running , not regenerating, so what is it really and why. Must mention it comes on after 10 mile shopping run to 80 miles at 60/70 mph.

Went to my Skoda dealer this morning. Investigate engine not reaching temperature. Remove coolant cap and run up engine. Carried out diagnostics and unable to establish fault. No errors found. Carried out road test after bleeding system and using odis. Got into car and found everything normal, cost £60 for testing. Now my trip to Skoda the gauge was still at zero. Thanks for your replies.

Drove ten miles and no warning lights came up , so engine could not be over heating am thinking. The hoses still not getting warm.

Got the engine running and felt the top pipe which seems not only cold but empty!

Looking at my thermostat reading and found it was at zero. put my heater on and it did not become hot. Checked the expansion bottle and all is well there, apart from running the engine where I thought I might see a flow but that also did not happen. October 21 had cambelt change with the usual pump etc and that was 7000 miles ago. Any idea what has gone wrong?.

On one of my forums re camping there is a comment about Adblue being used , which I must admit did not know anything about it. I do remember motoriback in the nineties when abroad motorist were adding additives to their fuel. So how many are you using it?

Have now done 119k+and had the emission fix done. before the fix had been done the regen hardly came on but now it comes on with the slightest journey. Also at the beginning had the oil change every two years but now each year .

I find that towing at 1320kg gives me a stable drive in most conditions, also nose weight of 75kg . Too excede these figures can make towing diffecult at times,

Hi , it is the mileometer reading I am talking about. I did think it was me miss reading it but previous readings were correct . With the mirrors, both were pointing outwards to their limit.

I have always kept record of amount of fuel taken on, and after refilling this week found some how I had done 1000 miles less than the last time I filled up? and later found both my mirrors had been altered to ex-stream, Sounds daft but is there any way that someone using one of those hacking things do it?

On my trips I often get reading of 68/70 mpg, but last week happened to look at screen and it was reading 70 plus mpg later it went to 80 mpg , so its gone wrong but how do i do it?

In 2017 whilst parked a tipper lorry reversed on to front of car. one rad ,bonnet, both wings. Last week was side swiped . one mirror, one wing repairable, passenger door, rear door. Hope to get it back next Wednesday. .

That is weird only last week my door handle came off when closing the door . Skoda man just pushed it down and it clicked into the bottom half, no screws.

After cleaning our Octy up after the Africa sand that got blown over it I was disappointed how it was getting. So any one used that Armour ceramic polish at £38 or so ?, saw it on U tube and it gives a brilliant look . Also interior shampoo what is found to be safest for the upholstery etc . Thanks.

Thank you . I did get it off eventually and also managed to clear the blockage, however I would have liked to lift out the nozzles but again did not want to force anything . So how did you take it out ?.

Have had Skoda several times to unblock the washer at the rear which they now say £60 a time. Have always used correct fluid and still it happens . My problem is I cannot get the shroud off the spindle to see the jets clearly . Have used large screwdriver gently prise it up but thought if I give it any more it will split , so how do you guys do it ?.m Looking at previous comments on this problem many have had leaks in boot etc but mine is dry.

Today at about 11am got into car and found all; windows clouded up ,. Usually I operate all windows up and down which normally clears them sufficient to drive off, but this time it was inside as well. Even the control panel was misted up. The sun was out and next doors car which is in different position to mine was clear. The outside temp was at 6.5. This is the first time in memory of having this . we live in a area which is supposed to be the driest part of uk.

Not an answer to your question but does not your one do it automatically ? mine everlasting comes on even after long trips .

Had 20k service today including brake fluid change , plus DSG oils change. The DSG has gone to £215 now not £199 like I thought it would be. Because of the petrol problem they gave me a Fabia which was on red and would I top it up , thats a laugh , if I could find a garage without running out that is. Now done 112k.

My Lidle seat covers which have been on for about 6 years need replacing , mainly the drivers side.. I suppose if I washed my one it might come up ok but then is it worth doing that . Is there others around at a reasonable price
