Having had two Octys both 2.0 140bhp , this one with the CR engine, but both done 60mpg + on long runs and pulling caravan 35mpg. As now only doing small mileage get only 45 mpg around town .

Still on about aircon. have now done 110400m and have never had service done as dealer said AC not needed at moment . Have now moved so have new Skoda dealer and they say its about time I had it done . But , it always works fine especially in this weather we have had. Any comments?.

Strange that as mine only comes on with ignition on

Hi , have the CR 140bhp DSG and it is on variabl;e but, owing to Covid doing far less miles had the engine oil and filter changed before time which would be this October coming, also had the cambelt /pump changed and this is not due till October 21. Also front pads as they would need doing in near future. As for mileage , we have moved house which means the journey we use to have 160m there and back is now only 20 miles altogether.

Since new it has gone into Skoda at correct times for everything.

Have had four cars which I put towing bars on and nothing was said by buyers when selling . What is your opinion.

I have only topped up once on ours and it has done 109 0000. Think it was about fours years ago

Have done 1000miles since last service when having stopped found the spanner Service sign come on . Never had that happen before so rang My local service who said the fitter could not have done it. They rectified it so what do they do ?.

October 2011 now done 108500.4 cambelts and pumps front pads bumper stop. All services done on time by sKODA.

Trouble with that is they charge £60 for putting it on at Skoda dealer.

We also have a 2011 Octavia Elegance and it does not have Bluetooth although it does have the sd card slot.

Have had it several times since lockdown . I make the excuse to have a run at 50mph on nearest motorway and it clears after 20m.

Since I charged my battery the light goes off when starting. I was not aware the battery might be down as it always start right away.

Thanks for reply, also read on here about other owners with same fault . One said battery might be down as we do fewer miles now . Put it on charge last night and after took it for fast 20 mile run , the light did not come on .

Would appreciate advice on this. Today on a shorty run the glow plug light came on , its first time I have ever seen it apart from start up. After stopping and let it cool down the light came up after few seconds again . So guys whats next?.

As we cannot go far these days wonder if by going into sport mode will help, being as it it is higher revs / Any thought guys.

Now I do only short journeys the regeneration comes on after every trip, should I be concerned. The car is always serviced on time from new and nothing has been said of any fault.

Hi, the first was at 4yrs next done earlier than expected as mechanic said it has got contaminated, last one couple of weeks ago although it was not due until October 21 but as the covid is around thought why not get it done now .

I have now done 108 k with three cambelt pump changes , I do not go by mileage so have it done by years. Mine being 61 reg.

I have a reversing camera it is connected to my 12v socket I had it fitted when having a towbar fitted this was for our fridge/cool box and anything else which requires powering, as camera. Never had any problems at all

I did say is it my imagination why it is running so good, well its not my imagination it is running really smoother and quite, because of the cov situation not had a chance of finding whether mpg has improved. For the record I have had three cambelt changes with 108k on the clock.

The last change was 4 years ago , had front pads done as well , cost of cam and pump £549 plus £190 for brakes. All work from new by Skoda dealer. Mine is Beadles.
