Hi triggerfish i did this on my fabia before i sold it. Are your lens glass or plastic? I would use a sealant now like CG Jetseal109 and then you could add some wax on top to. The more you sand the more you take off of the protective layer of the lights. Also meguiars plastix is good if your lights are plastic. It does make a huge difference when your lights have the yellow tinge! Good work. It makes life easier with a DA polisher for the scratches, I'd recommend one. I brought DAS6Pro off cleanyourcar.

the pilot primacy hp are even dearer than the ps3s though, the car has done 21,000 so far and there is 3mm on rears and 4mm on fronts as i rotated the wheels. i don't know if there any good the michelin pilot primacy hp? my boss has ps3s on his audi which are 18s and he says there good. but if you look at the tyre review vie just posted i'd like people thoughts ? im suprised from the hankook review as ive seen them in the top 10 in 2010 reviews but not took a number 1 spot.

one wheel has kerbing the others have some minor scratches. so im hoping once vie cleaned them and polished them i wont need to bother with them. but it depends if the one that is badly kerbed would be matched with the other 3 wheels. im planning to use prestige wheels in birmingham on the tyburn road as my mate had his split rims for his jap mr2 done there and they were mint. i just need to get a price. ive noticed the spokes are different colour which is sutle which is nice. the wheels are replica made by OZ racing MSW so not a bad wheel. If i weren't that fussed they could get tyres fitted for winter and they will do for winter tyres but i think ill make them look mint as there a really nice wheel. I brought some wheel inserts for the middle as the ones in there were VW and these are proper inserts and not stickers they look good i think? £11 (£8.99+£1.99) off ebay delivered for 4. obviously not genuine but a good copy and fit. ryan

the wheels arrived on monday after collection on friday so was impressed with that for 28quid. the wheels themselves look awesome. 3 look fine. one needs refurbing badly. i think the others will be fine once ive cleaned them and polished with my da polisher. here are some pics of the wheels. wheel ignore the other photos lol there aint no rude ones lol ryan

ive been looking myself for tyres 225/45/17 and i was set to buy 2 or 4 of ps3s but i think there too much. i currently have michelin pilot primacy hp on the car. was on them when i brought it. but i have read very good reviews on Hankook eve s1. german mag rated it number 1 for 2011 for wet and dry braking. these are a lot cheaper and worth a look on camskill and black circles fitted and delivered. cheers ryan. ill put the link up if anyone is interested?

Show some pics to let us see the damage? Has it gone to bare metal? I scraped a gate at the girlfriends and had black paint over my ds wheel arch! I weren't impressed and just did 4 passes with some mez polish with my da polisher and now it's good as new. Ryan

Also I'm having a horrible feeling these alloys won't clear the calipers or am I just worrying over nothing? Also will the wheel nuts on my current zenith octy vrs wheels fit? Or am I going to need new nuts? If so what size? Do I need sprigot rings also? Just confused myself after reading a Page off the web. Cheers Ryan

I havent got them yet but I'm not sure if there genuine vw as the eBay ad said replica alloys at the end(this don't bother me) I just thought I'd put it out there as ppl have said it's a good price but perhaps not if there replica? Ryan

cheers guys! just paid'd via paypal and arranged my own collection it would of cost £26 each way in may car lol! It was infact £28.56 for HDNL. I never paid the extra £5 for the insurance to cover the alloy wheel to its value lol as i thought whats the point. Do you know if when you put in the collection email it send them an email with the labels for the boxes or whether i need to email them across to the seller? Cheers Ryan. vas_Pagey the seller hasn't got back to me yet with regards to using parcel2go. i don't know weight and sizes of boxes though for wheels so how will i be able to do quote? also at a hotel in essex at the mo with no printer so not sure how i could get it to work. he quoted 40quid using parcelforce48 service on ebay auction. cheers ryan

Well I saw the photos on eBay of each wheel and they seemed ok. Two had curbing around part of the lip. The other two looked decent. I paid £145 knocked em Down from £180 with best offer lol started at £100 and went £120,£130, then £145 and the seller accepted :-) gotta go to Louth in Lincolnshire.

I took the plunge and went for a set off a mk5 golf. The dimensions were 5x112 with et45 these will fit my mk2 octy vrs won't they? Picking them up Thursday. I ended up paying more as ones I four for £100 at car breakers were in a bad way these only have to wheels with curbing so could leave or get them touched up. I'll have to see what there like when I get them. There 10 spoke ones look real nice I think. I'll upload some pics when I have them. Ryan

Lol I'd just change the tabs from Audi to Skoda. The car is stamped as vw parts so I personally can't see any issue and it's only for using winter tyres. So if my insurance is going to charge for making my car safer then it's daft but I never phoned them last time when I had winter three on and I dont think I will this time. Cool thanks for that! Really helpfull. Now I just need to search for some rims that I like are in a decent state. It's just hard eBay sellers arent including the pcd and et sizes which Is whyi wanted to know which other models in VAG range to find alloys. vRS_Pagey do you think the alloys I listed earlier in the post will fit as all the eBay seller has told me is it's off 2004 Audi a4 and it's a 5stud.
