I have been on audi forum and someone with an Audi S3 on order and about to leave the factory is going to cancel his order over this scandal. His dealer has apparently agreed to re-reimburse his deposit too... I think this is a bit strange given he then states once its all died down and 'if' VAG hasn't folded he'll probably re-order... Its a PETROL........!

There is a pipercross cone filter inside. This has not been removed, I also believe its non serviceable? -
I have a Pipercross PP1621 panel filter for a Mk2 Octavia FL petrol vRS, I know it fits others like 2L TDi... new costs about £35 This was used for about 1 year before I replaced with a CIA, its clean and presently dry. Please note that the cleaning kit (pictured) is no longer included as previously advertised £15 now including postage

I have a Carbonio Cold Air intake for sale. £60 + posting (selling new on AwesomeGTI for £313) This was bought from another member 3 years ago, so I believe this is about 4 years old. relatively easy to fit... I consider this a more visual upgrade than a performance enhancement but this is the info from their website Details Carbonio's latest carbon fiber intake for the 2.0 & 1.8 TSI engine is a truly race engineered ram air design that is available for the first time as an affordable street car intake system. Building from years of experience on and off the race track, Carbonio's and APR's engineering teams have spent countless hours developing a true cold air and ram air carbon fiber design that can be recreated affordably for the street performance enthusiast. Increased Horsepower and Torque Reduced Intake Air Temperatures Increased Air Velocity Smoother Transitional Airflow Increased Throttle Response Reduced Turbocharger Spool Time

I got my grille painted and had both front/rear badges replaced with latest versions at the same time, didn't do it myself though, but it only cost about £90 to get done whilst the same bloke did my alloys (re-coated). There is plenty of threads (pics) in the Octy II section on these topics eg http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/353127-painted-grill-and-new-badges/?hl=%2Bgrille#entry4244543 -
I'd have to agree, it helped improve the steering, but I was already on lowered springs and had the RARB fitted at the same time so its hard defining exactly which one contributed the most.

Rear Drums Sticking ..... Badly
lozparry replied to Hudson1's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk II (2007-2014)
Hi, my daughter had to call out breakdown yesterday as the car was stuck on our drive, with the rear brake (s) seized. It had been left for a day after been washed! Given the car is only 2 years old after a few attempts to drive off and free, I was not willing to try much more myself. Friendly AA bloke (actually ex-colleague of mine from the Army) had to strip one side that was stuck on and clean up, luckily it was not the near side as that was up against a wall. I will get her to call the dealers to see if they will look at this as my daughter claims this happened even when its not been washed but just wet conditions? I have the same issue with my own car (discs) after its been washed, however I always do drive around after its washed to dry out, maybe a bit harder with drums to do I guess? -

Hi Welcome... Zeniths... tbh, never liked them, I was glad that they changed for FL as I have. Other upgrades I think are worthwhile... 1. tints 2. Wheel spacers 3. painted grille (de-chrome) 4. remap 5. lowering suspension, I think the Octy looks on stilts as standard 6. Rear anti roll bar / ALK Strangely enough all or some of the things I have -

Another reason I think I have got a higher quote than expected... all valuation searches with my reg No. come up as a DSG not manual!
