  1. We can reduce the torque to 450Nm for those who prefer that on a DSG car. We will also soon be developing a DSG remap to compliment the engine remap which will configure the gearbox to better handle the higher torque.
  2. Thanks for your feedback, our map for the old CR170 engine in the Mk2 was £499 so I'm afraid this one was never likely to cheaper than that. Furthermore, as pointed out above, we have a lot of R&D in this project, development cars don't buy themselves and neither do dynos, not to mention the coutless hours of development time that's gone in to it, a quick browse of the dyno plot should explain that (look at the run timestamps). And of course that includes the 20% we are obliged to give to the VAT man. We believe it to be the best, and I guess you probably only want the best for your car. You're a Freedom member, so you'll get 10% off the Stage 1 should you choose to use us.
  3. Currently in final stages of development, will be released in the next week or so!
  4. We can help you with 1 and 2.. 3 perhaps try our friends at Greenlight
  5. We're pleased to announce that our Stage 1 map for the Octavia vRS 2.0TDI CR184 is now available. Stage 1 figures have been updated to 235bhp/500Nm, the map is delivered via the OBD port (no ECU removal required) and is priced at £649 inc VAT. Here's the dyno plot: The OBD map is available at Shark HQ in Mansfield and selected dealers who have the required equipment. Call 01623 332233 to find your nearest dealer.
  6. Thanks for making it over to support the event, much appreciated
  7. Still no test car I'm afraid, so we have nothing more to report. Our development was done on a Golf GTI which is technically the same, but if you want to see an actual Octavia then we can't help at the moment I'm afraid.
  8. Really? That's the first I've heard, PM on it's way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yes, we've only just had our rolling road handed back to us after the 4WD upgrade. All of our old data plots are gone, so we need to get it back on there. Of course customer work takes precedence hence the delay. I'll get it sorted over the next week or two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. According to our logs (smoke is very well controlled in these ECUs) there is no smoke and running our car on the map hasn't caused a regeneration as far as I can tell driving it. MPG so far seems to be unchanged but our car gets used for lots of different things and by different, so it's difficult to pin it down and confirm it. We generally don't quote MPG gains anyway as they are too subjective and unreliable . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The way our maps are priced is a pretty complex procedure, but I personally think that less 3% of the value of the car is a pretty reasonable price. Development costs money, we've been working on it since November last year. The bit the public see is the very tail end of the process, not the many many hours of development, late nights on the dyno, etc. We're not the cheapest, but you guys aren't driving cheap cars. Why ruin a good car with a cheap remap? Here endeth the latest Shark advertorial! If anyone has the latest DSG for us to look at and confirm a few things, then we might well have something ready for that too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. There's no conflicting information from us at Shark. Put simply a Stage 2 map is NOT suitable for any kind of hybrid turbo, this will need to be custom mapped accordingly. Hope that clears it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Only just saw this in a search, what did you try to fit? We only fitted the downpipe and it was a squeeze. No tuner politics from us, Milltek have no allegiance to us whatsoever, so not sure how that would come in to question either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I think "drilling" is a little OTT, yes the ECU has to be removed but no drills (or ECUs) were harmed in the making of this picture. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The ECU will need to be removed to be tuned, as with previously protected ECU types. We never quote economy gains from our remaps because it's impossible to know how each car is going to be driven, but we'll post up information from our tests with our own Octavia. Tuning boxes will no doubt continue to be the preferred option for some customers, and it would be unfair to compare them directly.
  16. Morning all Good news from Shark HQ, in that full software remaps for the 2.0TDI CR184 and CR150 are now in sight and almost ready. Stay tuned for further update and results from our own Octavia vRS! If anyone would like to register their interest please do so within this thread to be notified when we update the thread! Cheers Ben
  17. 260-262 is what we usually see from our TFSI Stage 2 with a good intake and good exhaust (our testing was done with Milltek)
  18. 2.0TSI is done over the OBD port without the ECU being removed.
  19. A 2011 CR170 will need to have the ECU removed. Shark Dealers who have invested in the correct equipment can carry out this task for you, unfortunately BroTek haven't yet decided to do that. Thanks Ben/Shark
  20. Yes we fix this problem in our maps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Because some companies understand the car and some unfortunately don't in this case. We have tuned scores of these over the diagnostic port, and plenty of them for forum members if you need any reference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. You have been told incorrectly, we can tune the 2.0TSI Mk2 over the OBD port. We can also fit your springs if you'd like to come to see us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. We have dealers in Cheshire and Lancashire who can help you with that, see www.sharkperformance.co.uk/dealers for their details. Thanks!
  24. We have a dealer in Swindon - see www.sharkperformance.co.uk/dealers
