  1. On the picture posted earlier it shows HW: H11 and SW: 1104. Is this what you're talking about?
  2. To be honest it all just blows my mind. If someone could sort it that would be amazing. Just need to confirm the firmware. Could I run v8 maps on it or does the update need doing first?
  3. Thanks for the info about the 'A' revision KB, hopefully someone has the answer. I guess 45mins is far to long for it to remain running.
  4. This is a photo of the unit if that helps
  5. I left the car for a good 45mins and the fan was still running, so I've taken the radio fuse out for now as a short term fix for overnight. Looks lie further help is required.
  6. Adam, the code on the top is: 3T0 035 680. Don't know if that's the number you're referring to? I'll try the setup button trick tomorrow.
  7. Anyone have the latest Firmware update on disc and is willing to lend it to me? I can only get 4 digit postcodes and I'm running v3 of maps. Not sure what firmware I currently have and whether I'd also need an earlier update.
  8. I have a 2009 Columbus and wondered if anyone has the latest Firmware update on disc and is willing to lend it to me? I can only get 4 digit postcodes and am running v3 of maps. Cheers
  9. Might need to find myself a local Briskodian who understands all the waffle about wiring and is happy to tinker!
  10. Cheers guys, nothing is ever as easy as it appears!
  11. KB, nope they don't show. Think it's the issue between PDC and OPC, if I've got that right. I'll take a look at those links, cheers.
  12. Please, please, please, Further help required. I've installed the Columbus however the fan remains on and I'm aware of battery drain from looking through other posts. Where can I get the link to the VAG-COM owners to see if there's one in my area? Plus do I need to buy a new canbus to sort the issue or will a simple re-programme do? A further also, is there a way to get the parking sensors to show on the screen, like on the STREAM radio? Thanks Guys
  13. I'm having the battery drain issues with the Columbus too. I'm trying to open the VAG-COM owners link, but it isn't available, is there a new one?
  14. I can't find the link to the thread about the maps, do you have it KBPhoto?
  15. Thanks for the link Throttle Up, I'll have a look into it. My unit has V3 installed. KBPhoto - I didn't realise that the Speed Camera maps update was unofficial. Would the latest VW v9 map update work in the Skoda unit? VIM would be for the kids, not me.
  16. Thanks for that fidgec94, if you can find that link and let me know that would be great. Cheers
  17. Watching the Hungarian F1 GP.

  18. Help needed please, I've just brought myself a 2009 Skoda Columbus satnav unit and was wondering what is the best way to get hold of the '2013 maps with SPEED CAMERAS and RED LIGHT CAMERAS' and how you activate 'Video in motion'? Also, is the main dealer the best place to go to for the dash surround trim panel? Cheers
  19. Brilliant post! I've just visited www.apbrakediscs.co.uk and brought a Front set of Brembo discs & Pads for £92.19 usings the "iluvhoses" promotional code. Now all I need to do is fit them. Thanks Gregie for all your hard work and research!
  20. Currently in the hunt for Modified Car Insurance, as it's that time of year again!!

  21. This very same light has appeard on my dash too. I also belived that it's the 'Exhaust Temp sensor' as I'm still able to drive it like normal. Anyone know the rough cost to get this fixed?
  22. Checked on the Vredestein website (http://www.vredestein.co.uk/Onlineadvies_Advies_result.asp?AutomerkID=168&AutomodelID=24&AutotypeID=7631&AutouitvoeringID=270332&SearchtypeID=1&UserSessionID=67467463) and for the Octy vRS TDI they recommend the tyre pressure to be: front 2.9bar and rear 3.4 bar! This seems awfully high to me as I'm currently running front 2.0bar and rear 2.1bar. This can't be right, can it?

  24. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! I'm after some advice. I currently have 4 x Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tyres fitted to my Octy vRS (well not right now as I have winters on, but you know what I mean!), however I hear that the new Vredestein Ultrac Cento tyres are even better. Does anyone have these fitted or experienced them on a car? Prices are the same as the Sessanta, so is it worth giving them a go when I'm due to change? Cheers!
