Wanted to get the VW paint code for the Anthracite Grey Metallic. VW dont do this colour in their range of cars and skoda use the RAL 9153 Colour Code to identify theirs. After a indepth research I think I have found it VW LF8J can anyone confirm this

The Matt aluminium ones are better IMHO for some reason mine came with one from new. I have been to many skoda meetings and havent see another car fitted with the same one yet....wierd

I bought my car in May 09 and got personalised number plates for it...nothing too special.... my initials (first two letters) followed by the year 09 (live at number 9) and the misses initials (last three letters). The car was first registered on that plate. It would seem to me that if you did the same and got a personalised plate, nothing expensive but private to you with **11*** then the car could be first registered on that plate but not be used until 1st March. Just an idea to get out of a potential stick situation and you get a semi personalised number plate... it will have to have the 11 as the two digits thou..............MY11VRS for example

My relatives live in Durness I travel up there at least once a year to see them, travel through the night in time for a great breakfast in Ullapool just behind the main street that runs along the sea front. Some lovey roads up there especially early morning when there`s very little traffic. I have to agreed great run, not in October though, rutting season deer everywhere.

For your info...............I have been in contact with Skoda UK last week. The tyres on the front needed replacing went to the a tyre garage and they said a front wheel was buckled and could not guarantee a tight seal. To the dealers I went, only to be told that these are not covered under the warrenty. I had to buy a new one the dealers advised me to contact Skoda Custorm Care Dept. Cut a long short photos were taken, skoda were unaware of any issues of the LE wheesl and would not cover the cost. Quoted this site and the problems other people have had to no avail they just didnt want to know even said "dont believe everthing I read on here"...hmm. I have asked them to put it in writing so this is recorded for future reference...... I believe there is defect issue here and a potentially serious one if the tyre goes pop when doing speed
