  1. I had the same probs and it turned out to be the clutch pack on the DSG, mines a petrol.
  2. AFAIK there is no differance in software other than the ECU software or settings in VCDS.
  3. You would need it checked with VCDS first. Is their derv getting to the injectors? Is the pump working? What's the voltage on the battery during cracking?
  4. You have 5 years under SOGA, talk to the supplying dealer if you had it from new.
  5. What's involved in a strip down of the brakes? There not drums so its all exposed anyway. I'd make sure they take the wheels off to check the tyres and discs and use some copper grease when refitting them. Get the air filter done.
  6. the peel might be under the clear coat!
  7. Something like SV Oynx, CK CMW or Vics Concours.
  8. Where in VCDS is the setting? Also how do you find the activiations?? Cheers.
  9. You can turn the sensitivity down with VCDS or any dealer can, finding one that knows can be tricky. Have it set to 60.
  10. You have 5 years under SOGA, but this is only applicable to the supplying dealer. Deal with them drectly, not Skoda.
  11. Take it up with the supplying dealer under SOGA, then its nothing to do with Skoda and should be easier and quicker to sort out.
  12. Get some Carlac Glass polish/seal kit and use on the glass and light clusters. Use some Megs tyre gel on the tyres and mudflaps. I would use Optiseal on the wheels to seal them as it does'nt need buffing off. Use a EZI Wheel brush to clean the inside of the wheels. Get some PB NLG for the interior and you can use it on the engine bay, I would use something like Clearkote Moose Wax and their RMG underneath. Don't forget lots of pics!
  13. It will be on your records now so if the car goes in it will be flagged up. It would be down to you to prove the remap did'nt cause something like a turbo or whatever should it go wrong.
  14. They will just get a contractor in and sub it out, add on a mark up and wash your car for you!
  15. Its worthever people will pay for it, depends on the new model, price of derv and the popularity of small turbo petrol engines.
  16. check the t&c, repairs for mot passes might not be covered.
  17. Still don't understand why the OP would have it MOTed twice.
