Thanks mate. Tried it and tried out all com ports at fixed 9600. Still no luck:mad: Spent most the day on this and borrowed someone elses lappy and no luck. Could it be the cable?

installed freedos on a hp nc6220 lappy that has a serial port. run vds-pro and tried all 4 com ports. still doesnt pick anything up. I have a licensed version of vag-com that works fine. any ideas anyone?

Hi All i have wiped my HD and install freedos on my hp nc6220. i also transferred the vds files across and run the exe. It doesnt pick a control on any com port. VAG COM works though. I need vds-pro to sort out the auto enclosure. any heelp will be appreciated:confused:

have you tried disabling anti jacking as when i enabled it, this feature enabled automatically.

have you had the water problem? My one retracts slowly too. So i pulled it to the max a few times, gave it a good clean and it improved to bearable levels

ive in the past got all parts from GSF spareparts (inclusive of rollers, belt, tensioners and metal perpeller water pump), handed over to local dealer and checked up on the progress throughout the day (took day off). worked well for me.

Dont wanna nick the thread here as Im interested in the total enclosure which requires vcd pro. However: license cost £68 and i got it in 1 working day. Ive been using the shareware for faults for over 3 years. At least this why you get the full error codes. Worth the investment. I have probarly made my money back within 5min! Folding mirrors require the autoflex module i believe. My comfort doesnt have folding mirrors. I know this as i enquired about this for my Cupra.

I spoke to fisher bros and preston cars about this very matter. The mileage on my 52 skoda was 51k when i bought it 4 weeks ago. The timing belt had been changed in 2006 with the mileage at just 36k! i was a little suprised at this so asked the dealer who carried out the works and preston cars why it was changed. Response: Belt is changed at either 80k or 4 years. Whichever comes first. Now either they are trying to con people or ..... well cant think of a defense for them... Not too sure how the warrenty is affected as the handbook just states 80k.

OK mate, i have got my vagcom license through and within 15min had the laptop plugged into the car and had the following sorted: ANTI HIJACK 46 – Central convenience 10 - Adaptation Channel 03 Auto Lock (auto locks car after 10mph) Channel 04 Auto Unlock (unlock the car when u take the key out) SINGLE DOOR UNLOCK 46 – Cent Convenience 07 - Recode The single door unlock give an even number i.e 00064. To make all the doors unlock with one press, just add 1 i.e. 00065 All thanks to roo's guide Had the added bonus that the car locks itself if key removed for over 30sec

first full tank ended up being 300 to the full tank! holly crap, will clean out the MAF over the next few days...

Isnt a third party module required for that to work like the auto reflex modules?

1) The centre console pop out tray thingy will not close! It pushes too but doesn`t catch. Hence anything I put in it vibrates like hell. Jam a piece of cardboard in it. It will be permantly closed though 4) I keep catching the key fob in my pocket causing all the windows to open !! disable the total enclosure possibly via vagcom
